  1. I would have thought that Brisbane would be seen as less of a threat than Port, so I would think Jackson stays in this week and TMac comes in next week against Port... by then, Jackson will probably need a rest rather than play three games with not much break between the 2nd and 3rd.
  2. But isn't it from round 9 that there are going to be matches every day of the week over a 3 (or was it 4?) week period? If so, then surely they would have to be announcing all fixtures over that particular period.
  3. I understand that, I just prefer it’s not used in that way... just call him a dumb f*%#er, which is probably more appropriate anyway ?
  4. I’d be happy if you’d edit that Biffen. I really do not like that used as an insult, being someone with a brother who is intellectually disabled. Thanks.

    Nah! ?

They had 4 a piece in the first quarter and were actually playing fast attacking football.

Finally a watchable game... Carlton v Port thus far is a goal fest.

He’s a great prospect, but all of this fawning over Rankine by the commentators is getting tiresome! Derm was just creaming himself over the fact that he was running alongside the ball carrier heading towards goal!
  9. Groin injury and listed as "indefinite".
  10. Did he? Or was he just invited to train with them as a junior? As I recall, it was the latter (I'm not sure he even took up the offer). EDIT: it appears he went to Old Trafford, but nothing came of it; from WIKI: "After spending a month at Old Trafford, the 15-year-old Green trained with Walsall, a lower division English club, and was offered a contract but turned it down, choosing to finish his schooling in Tasmania."
  11. My parents weren't into footy in a big way back when we were winning premierships in the early 60's, so I could only listen on the radio (no live TV coverage). I'm yet to SEE us win a GF.

I watched the Lions game... they look good.

The Freo v Crows game is like watching a demonstration of how not to play footy. Two totally inept teams that make us look like world beaters. The fact that Freo are leading 4 goals to the Crow’s 4 behinds, is nothing short of a miracle.
  14. Must check it out... it's possible I may have at some point read the first page and turned off.
  15. Ok, thanks. However, I'm not sure that automatically translates to greatness as a head coach. After all, Goodwin was an assistant at Essendon and then assistant to one of the greats in Paul Roos for two years, yet apart from one good season in 2018, it hasn't really counted for much; at least, not yet.
  16. A serious question... what exactly are Yze’s coaching credentials?
  17. I doubt that they'd be playing VDB down in the backs... with our small forward line, he's need in the forward half for his pressure and ability to crash packs.
  18. Yeah, it’s become an exercise in banging one’s head against a brick wall. I’ll cease and desist.
  19. First part doesn’t make much sense... it was relevant to the topic. It’s very obvious that comprehension is not your strong suit. Second part... has nothing to do with my question re virtue signaling.
  20. When all else fails, the old reduce it to the left vs right trick. Laughable.
  21. I suggested that there was a possibility he may be missing out because they might think he would need time out to clear his head and be with his family (no mention of it being because of an emoji). To you it might be ā€œjust an emojiā€, but you probably haven’t been very publicly subjected to comments based on your race on who knows how many occasions. And how is it virtue signaling to wish that racism did not exist to the degree that it still does?
  22. Well, when you twist the meaning of someone’s words, I guess that’s what you should expect. Although, I have to say that’s it’s rather ironic that you resort to the use of name calling to call out a name caller ?
  23. Yeah that’s right wanchor... I suggest you enroll yourself in a basic English comprehension course and then re-read my original comments.
  24. I know you are, but what am I?
  25. He was nowhere near our worst defender in the last couple of games (Smith and Lever were much worse in round 2, yet are playing this week). That aside, it’s not me who thinks the ā€œsky is fallingā€, but it is myself and many others who are sick and tired of racism, and sick and tired of the likes of you dismissing it as if it’s a non issue. Seriously, if the topic isn’t to your liking, don’t read it; simple!
