I'd settle for 8 wins including: a win at Pattersons, a win at Etihad, and wins against at least 4 top 8 sides -
Are you answering on Jack's behalf, or are you one in the same person with your personas confused? ;-)
-
Haha, yes... but after round 22, he was sitting equal 8th on the Demonland Player of the Year voting... so it is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.

Recently tweeted by the AFL that "Gillon McLachlan has confirmed that he will remain with the AFL (http://www.smh.com.a...0904-25c1c.html), resisting the lure of the NRL's CEO position", however, in the Sydney Morning Herald, there was an article by Roy Masters suggesting that the ARL should go after the Dimster...we can but hope (optimists of the world unite!) http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/why-demetriou-should-be-arls-target-20120904-25bgw.html

Anger is one thing... the abuse being leveled at LJ by some in this thread is a whole other thing; or do you condone those comments regarding jail time etc? PS. I thought the post at the top of the page was going to be your last post on this subject ;-)

I actually would not be surprised to see Magner just out of the top 5, purely on the strength of his first half of the season (likewise Clark)... he was going almost level pegging with Jones and Clark for some time in the Demonland player of the year stats. I would think the top 5 will be: Jones (couldn't get odds on that) Howe Grimes McDonald Rivers

Not really.

It's easy to apply any context you like to a few words in isolation... how do we know this doesn't mean he will be happy to accommodate the MFC in any trade deal they would like to seek with an Adelaide based club?
-
Do any of us know that for certain? Do you or anyone else know for a fact that no dialogue took place between Jurrah and the MFC prior to this blowing up in the press; why is the club insisting they will still provide support? Haven't any of his critics considered that this support would not be forthcoming if he had simply walked with no regard for the club?. Another thing that bothers me... when the press are criticising the club we all dismiss them as journos who have no facts but like to run the club down, but when something like this occurs, all of a sudden the press have it right and we can believe every word they print. And why are the likes of Flanagan and Bruce aka Rudeboy suddenly apologists? When LJ was a part of our club and before his life suddenly became more complicated, everyone was full of praise for the both of them... now that things have turned sour (well, from the point of view of Demonlanders at least), all of a sudden they are apologists, LJ is a traitor, Davey is somehow to blame, LJ was never a great footballer, was just a flash in the pan etc etc etc.
-
Martin Flanagan has once again produced a fine article describing the issues faced by LJ A new turn on Jurrah's journey. It's just a shame that a number of people on these forums cannot see beyond the MFC in this instance and instead turn to abusing him.

I honestly cannot recall ever seeing a post on these forums that has stooped so low. Unbelievable what some people will say just to be vindictive without taking even a moment to reflect on Liam's situation!!
-
Liam's bail conditions have been changed to allow him to spend time with his family in SA in the off season. Interestingly, his court appearance was from Melbourne via video link... obviously just a quick return to SA the other week: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/national/assault-accused-liam-jurrahs-bail-changed-allowed-to-spend-time-with-family/story-fndo48ca-1226463856856

Well, once Howe improves his set kicks, maybe :-)
-
Neeld stated earlier in the year that he believes Howe has the ability to develop into an elite midfielder.

Is Cook playing in the Development League game, or is he on he bench in the firsts?
-
Nice to see Green with some kind of a coaching/mentoring role in the rooms at half time. I wonder if this means he may have a role with the club in 2013.
-
We are not shite at all at he moment...they are putting in, and in case you haven't noticed, Watts is starting to get involved.
-
Do we have to turn every thread into a player bashing exercise?

Snafu

Hope they start Fitz at full forward rather than Rivers.

I'm pretty sure Schwab was in Guangzhou a couple of months ago; so I think things are happening (albeit slowly). I expect that they may become more active once the trade period is done and dusted.

Actually, there were quite a few locals at the Shanghai game...yes a lot of expats as well, but I would have thought the percentage of locals was pretty good considering the lack of knowledge of the game and considering that the Chinese tend to stay away from most sporting events in droves. Even a major event such as the Shanghai Tennis Open has "fans" brought in the fill the corporate boxes. Another initiative I think you overlooked is the AFL Institute that has been started in Guangzhou in the Guangdong province.
