  1. Interesting, because according to the general summary of the IPCC's 5th Assessment Report which was released last year: General Warming of the atmosphere and ocean system is unequivocal. Many of the associated impacts such as sea level change (among other metrics) have occurred since 1950 at rates unprecedented in the historical record. There is a clear human influence on the climate It is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of observed warming since 1950, with the level of confidence having increased since the 4th report IPCC pointed out that the longer we wait to reduce our emissions, the more expensive it will become
  2. As opposed to the group think faith in shock jocks?
  3. Correction, real hipster's SAY they've visited places such as Machu Pichu,Mexican beer factories and Scottish archeological digs.
  4. I would think he is setting himself up for a tilt at "Leader of the Opposition". And I have to say he is doing a sterling job thus far.
  5. Don't tell me he forgot to apply the Clearasil before going out on the track!
  6. Not sure if serious.
  7. Compared to, at the same point last year?
  8. Should call him "Roo" in deference to his family connections
  9. I would expect that part of the AFL's punishment would be no draft participation for a couple of years at least.
  10. Yes, I was obviously being sarcastic... but really, as members we are not shareholders and I would have thought that while our membership entitles us to certain benefits such as free entry, discounts at the shop etc. it does not and should not entitle us to be privy to what is essentially personal information. If I was a major sponsor I might feel differently, but I'm sure they are kept in the loop on such things already.
  11. Well, as I spend thousands of dollars grocery shopping at Woolies every year (far more invested there than in MFC memberships), I think I will demand that a board be displayed at the entrance of the Leichhardt Market Place Woolworths store entrance, listing every checkout person, shelf stacker and manager and their individual salaries. Seems fair.
  12. Exactly! Not relevant for us and not relevant for the players. I would not want my salary made known to other employees in my organisation just as I would not want to know theirs - it can only cause ructions.
  13. Why do I suddenly feel like I am back in school?
  14. Yes, but is it accurate/factual representation of ASADA's presentation?
  15. I fear the blood rule would see him being unable to take the field.
  16. On past form we would end up with Norman Gunston.
  17. Hopefully a bit of mischief... I did a quick search of Twitter and Real Footy where there was nothing. I did however notice that, and this has nothing to do with the Dees, poor Moribito from Freo is set to have more knee surgery. I really feel for that guy as he was shaping up as a superstar until his run of injuries.
  18. Probably right... hard day at the office today so my sarcasm detectors are way out of whack.
  19. God I hope that's not a serious comment.
  20. I think you will find that depression affects different people in different ways. I have little to no knowledge about the condition from a medical standpoint, but I would not find it hard to believe that the fact that he was able to channel so much into his photography was that it was something that he derived pleasure from at a time when everything else was going to [censored]. Photography was something that he was having success with and which would have been helping to raise his self esteem at a time when that was exactly what he needed.
  21. Yes, but by the time it's done the rounds it will be fact.
  22. What constitutes "facts" on these forums is often known in other circles as "chinese whispers".
  23. Of course they would be expected to know... isn't awareness of what goes into their bodies a part of their induction training?
  24. Well that settles it.. he's a lock!!
  25. Surely if the two players accept the penalty, then the implication is that the other 32 are guilty by association... after all, they are all up on the same charges and as a result of the same evidence. And surely beyond that, it would then place the AFL in a position where they would be forced to take action against the club.
