  1. Bet on the Tigers... that way if we win we have you to thank and if we lose, you at least get a little something to ease the guilt you would no doubt be experiencing over betting on them to win.
  2. read on McDuff... http://www.smh.com.au/afl/melbourne-demons/weve-all-felt-fear-on-the-footy-field-so-lay-off-jack-watts-20150424-1mrjhl.html
  3. I think they should give us interstate members who make the trek down to the MCG the same treatment as the premium members, to ease the pain of the related expense.
  4. I liked the comment on one of the Foxtel shows last night (can't remember whether it was league teams or afl360)... "Chapman should have got a week for going down so easily".
  5. I have two copies of the film... one is the DVD Eraserhead 2000 which came directly from DavidLynch.com and is the version that he personally remastered frame by frame. The other is in a David Lynch box set on blu ray and is more recent remastering, again by Lynch himself. I think I must be a masochist as that is probably the most disturbing film I have ever seen.
  6. Why not just have him run through his technique with Jack Watts? I know a lot of people here don't rate Jack Watts, but his kicking (generally and for goal) is pretty hard to fault.
  7. I disagree BB... the commentators are constantly telling us how so-and-so has broken the world record for tackles, or set a new world record for possessions in a game etc etc... we ARE a world sport!!
  8. Yep, they fed all of the input from the "Hogan looking great...BUT!" thread into a Cray Super Computer and came up with a program that they will be working with for the rest of the season to improve all areas of his goal kicking.
  9. After OD informed me that my Eraserhead (John Nance) avatar was too disturbing for his liking :-)
  10. Wiser heads than ours are making these decisions... I will not be complaining.
  11. That was then, this is now. Salem, Brayshaw and Hogan (and hopefully Petracca) all say hello.
  12. I would have thought that Hogan's problem is that he is overthinking his approach. Once he settles into the pace and demands of the game at this level, he will relax and it will become second nature to him. For those who remember his season at Casey, did he have the same issue with his run-up (I suspect not)?
  13. As long as they don't serve up too much of the Number 2 they gave us for so much of last year.
  14. Not wrong at all OD... but a little realism is required as we are coming from a long way back and it's pretty obvious we are not going to win 22 games in a season. I want them to go into every game expecting to win, but in the event that a win is not the result, I want to be able to take pride in their performance.
  15. I'll see what I can come up with for you OD There you go OD... hope you can sleep better now
  16. I do believe you've been possessed by the spirit of WYL
  17. Yes, I agree which is why I said he will get better as the season goes on... he just needs to work on his set shots (either that or play on and run around the mark before taking his shot ).
  18. If you ever get the opportunity to see this guy, do not miss CW Stoneking...
  19. True, but imagine if he was kicking at over 50% efficiency. I'm sure he will get it up there eventually... I just found it funny that everyone focuses their vitriol on Watts.
  20. Was just discussed on On the Couch.... but they also discussed Garlett... while everyone is bagging Watts over a couple of dropped marks at crucial times, Garlett has been kicking at 38% efficiency and has 0.5 from set shots in his total of 5.10 in three games. If Hogan and Garlett can get their acts together, we will be much better off... Watts is not the problem.
  21. I'm pretty certain that I heard/read that Roos was a big proponent of Leading Teams while at the Swans and that he had them in at some point early in his tenure with the MFC.
  22. OK Watts detractors... you have my permission after his last effort :-)
  23. What does it matter? People get wound up over the strangest things... it's happening for both sides anyway, not just our points.
  24. Is that his fault of his team mates not alerting him?
