  1. Jones was often rubbished on here and Demonology for his lack of skills until something changed and it clicked for him. Watts has skills in spades being one of the best kicks and one of the better thinkers in the team... witness that tap down to Garlett in round 1... and his goal from a set shot in then pocket. Hogan has played just 4 games and Petracca is yet to play a game... you have to be taking the p!ss. Dunn and Vince are both hard at it players who bring a lot with them... but to say they have greater skills than Watts is ridiculous... I think you are confusing skill with hardness. And like Jones, Dunn is another who many on the forums wanted to see the back of until he found his groove. Watts needs to harden up, no question... but to say he is lacking in skills is laughable.
  2. You claimed we would NOT get stuff all for him... so I was just clarifying that you meant we would get a lot. I for one, would not be looking to offload him regardless.
  3. It's a game for <insert deity of choice>'s sake!
  4. Sorry, but once the same joke has been made over and over and over, it tends to wear a little thin.
  5. I'm afraid it's got to the point where threads like this are simply no longer funny... they are just plain nasty. I really hope the moderators nip this one in the bud quick smart!
  6. The thing that irks me the most is that most of the 100 or so responsible for the Bali bombing that killed 202 foreigners and locals, have been set free and that they have a total of almost 90 drug traffickers (mostly foreign) being executed. There seems to be a theme with regards to their treatment of foreigners vs locals. I would be quite happy to see two thirds of the $600 mil we give in aid each year redirected to Nepal in the short term as a message to them. I wouldn't like to stop teh aid completely, because then those Indonesians who genuinely need it will be disadvantaged.
  7. Yes, but I think 93dee is saying he would like to play football with Jesse.
  8. Jones is the reason why our youth brigade won't be tempted to leave the club for greener pastures.
  9. For [censored] sake, why don't you just go and sit in a corner somewhere and thaw out. Your broken record approach has become beyond boring and is no more justified than when you first stated Watts should be demoted.
  10. Hey, do you think Watts needs a spell in the 2's?
  11. You named yourself well. By the way... reported where? Link?
  12. I always wonder about this... if a poster happens to be a goal, the ball goes back to the centre and everything is reset.. this means that all of the possibilities change and there is every possibility that the opposition scores from the bounce and our momentum is stopped. I really think that if those points became goals, that we would probably end up with a margin not so different to what we had anyway.
  13. Didn't he have a collision with a goal post on Friday? he's probably suffering a bit of stiffness/soreness and being rested today. Still plenty of time to recover and I doubt he will miss out on Sunday.
  14. Good points... but I would say that Roos is keeping him in the seniors first and foremost, because his upside is greater than his perceived failings.
  15. Yeah...and just because you call an African American the "N" word, it doesn't mean you dislike African Americans... those whiny children!
  16. Fair point... but we do have the option of Pedersen (who has been performing well at Casey) or Gawn available if Watts is really that far off his game.
  17. I really don't know how you can compare the two situations... in a laneway confronted by drunks is a very very different situation to the controlled environment that is the game of AFL.
  18. I don't think anyone is trying to justify it (if it was indeed said).
  19. But with a couple of minor differences... one was with an open hand while the other was with a closed fist. One was in a laneway with 3 or 4 drunken bogans and a mobile phone, while the other was in a stadium in front of several thousand football supporters.
