  1. And the message is that climate change is of enough concern globally that all countries have signed off on measures to combat it - I believed dispassionate journalists also cheered when man landed on the moon... how dare they become emotionally invested in such affairs.
  2. He's fine... brace comes off next Wednesday... then it's just time that takes over - 6 more weeks and he can start jogging and two or three months after that he can resume full sport.
  3. Yes, but back in those days it was measured in Fahrenheit
  4. Would have been nice for me, but maybe a little less so for my son who is currently in a leg brace and would have to watch me
  5. And his apparent disappointment and his "language" are no less hidden and certainly anything but balanced... pot, kettle, black.
  6. If you already bought tickets, I'm pretty sure you should be able to negotiate with your bank for the refund and they will chase it up from the promoters. At least, this is what I heard in a radio discussion regarding this matter today (the agency was saying they will refund customers as soon as the promoters return the ticket sales money to them, so the bank refund might be the fastest and safest option).
  7. This year's seems like a disorganised mess... http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/soundwave-music-festival-cancelled-20151217-glpwbn.html and then there's this: http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/heres-much-money-soundwave-2015-acts-owed/#/slide/1
  8. I was down your way yesterday... my son's physio is in Miranda.
  9. So, you're a Hobbit?
  10. Nope "[censored]" doesn't seem to be censored.
  11. There is no gut on Watts... there is a lot of light and shade in that photo however that does give the illusion of there being a gut. Honestly, it's a bit sad how some people will take any opportunity to stick the boot in
  12. Well, you need worry no more if those photos of him are accurate and not a trick of the light. He is looking exceptionally well contoured/sculpted in the upper body... just hope his legs can catch up.
  13. Ok, my bad.... in which case I will presume Bolt must have put a lot of faith in England's views.
  14. Well, this may be the General Discussion forum, but it is still Demonland after all.
  15. The fact that you are putting so much strength/faith in Dr England's words in order to discredit Aly's claim, would tend to indicate that the rest of what he has to say there must have merit as well... ergo, "This much-hyped global warming slowdown is just a distraction to the task at hand". Not only did he discredit Aly, it seems he has discredited your good self as well.
  16. It may well be... I have met Saty a few times. He appears to have gained a few kilo if that's him.
  17. Doesn't look like him
  18. Oh yes, those facts that the rest of the world has chosen to ignore in order to commit to an outcome at the Paris talks. If only you had been there to alert them to the folly of their ways.
  19. It's because all of the heat and light from the sun keeps getting sucked up by those damned solar panels! Don't you read the press?
  20. Haha... lucky they don't have solar panels there... apparently they suck all of the sunlight away from surrounding vegetation, causing it to die. I haven't been to Aichi-ken, but have been to Iwate-ken up the north east and stayed in a small place called Fujisawa-cho... I got to visit a lovely fishing village called Kesenuma which was sadly destroyed in the tsunami.
  21. Where in Japan Colin? I've spent a bit of time over there on and off due to my ex being from Kawasaki. Love the place.
  22. Yes indeed, those who don't post obsessively in an attempt to beat others into submission (you will notice that I only called two people out).
  23. I didn't say "the science is settled"... I said that "the science IS settled according to those who matter" (ie, the attendees at the Paris meeting) - a completely different thing.
