  1. A few shots from today with more to come if we make it along to this evening's session with the women's team (edit: forget that last bit...women's was yesterday and next is tomorrow...damnit!).
  2. Think I saw it mentioned somewhere that there was a AFL "orientation" session for new recruits at Ethihad yesterday?
  3. I suppose that depends on what you come up with (including impartial sources), doesn't it. It won't necessarily change my views on climate change.
  4. No, the fact that you twist my words (which were obviously citing your comments) to suit your own agenda and avoid answering the question, says it all. No admission on my part at all. Now try answering the question.
  5. As I said in a response to you a long time ago "Oh yes, those facts that the rest of the world has chosen to ignore in order to commit to an outcome at the Paris talks." Now where is your irrefutable (note that word) proof that the committees have been stacked? In the meantime keep up your support for "ostrich politics" and your hip pocket.
  6. Hey, I've seen abacus users out perform people on calculators doing extremely complex mathematical calculations!
  7. Yep, the science is being flushed down the toilet and into the swamp he's been topping up to the point of overflow.
  8. Thanks! Nah, Cross was looking straight past me as opposed to through me...fortunately ?
  9. A few photos here: and here:
  10. I was actually pretty impressed with Spencer's kicking today...hopefully it's something he's been working on which will improve his chances at getting the back-up ruck spot.
  11. Keith Richards?
  12. In no particular order, a list that would change every time I tried to write it: Hassa Mann Tassie Johnson Stan Alves Robbie Flower Garry Lyon Jeff Farmer Jim Stynes Aaron Davey Max Gawn Liam Jurrah
  13. Nice finally putting a face to the great photography and to have an albeit brief chat.
  14. No worries...loved the dog. My son and I are down from Sydney until next Thursday and will get along to the training sessions on Monday and Wednesday of next week; so if I see you there I'll say hello. Max Gawn informed me that Mondays session will start later than normal (10 or 11?) and Wednesday is back to 9:30.
  15. I've got a few shots up on Facebook with public access...
  16. The tennis may be over, but then we have to suffer all of that and more in these forums in the months that follow
  17. I checked again and Madder Lake opened for the Rolling Stones at Kooyong. I was at that concert as well, hence the confusion.
  18. I have a vague recollection that at the start of this year, the first training session of the new year was on the Thursday at Gosch's followed by a session at Casey on the Friday... firstly, is my memory correct and if so, secondly, does anyone know if that is going to be the case again this time around? My son and I are driving down from Sydney and arriving on Tuesday, so I'm trying to organise things so that we can get to both sessions. The reason I'm asking here is that there is nothing as yet on the club's website and as there are a few here with all of the info about player movements etc, they must surely have the connections that can provide them with the training dates/times
  19. Lately I've been revisiting a few older films that have now been released on BluRay... The Night of the Hunter and Cape Fear (two of Robert Mitchum's best), Martin Scorcese's King of Comedy and After Hours (both brilliant), Lindsay Anderson's "If" which is one of my favourite films of all time and Wes Anderson's Bottle Rocket. Have also rewatched one of my favourite recent films Hunt for the Wilderpeople which I consider to be one of the films of the year.
  20. Festivus...for the rest of us
  21. As for H, I have good memories of his storming goal in his first game with us (against Gold Coast) that seemed to get the team fired up and kicking on for a win (our first opening round win in how long?). He always wore his heart on his sleeve which I don't mind and he has left the club wishing us no malice and in fact praising our list and wishing us the best of luck. Good luck to him in the future.
  22. Should have gone to Spec Savers!
  23. I think you might find that playing a game or two in China might help to endear them to the local Chinese Australian population. I would expect that rather than play in Beijing or Shanghai however, they would play in Guangzhou where an AFL academy was established at one of the universities and where there is a competition in existence.

  25. Not surprising, but 2016 seems to have seen an inordinate number of them taken. I honestly can't remember a year in which so many prominent/known people have passed away (and I'm 64).
