Pretty much the same as ever as despite being on a break, the effects of the chemo just seem to want to hang around. I’m back on that toxic juice again starting from the 5th January, so any thoughts of getting down to Melbourne to catch some training are pretty much now on the back burner; probably for at least the next six months. But, as I keep saying, being the pragmatist that I am, none of this ever really gets to me anyway (at least I can watch the games on the tellie)… it’s the music that I’ll miss.

Well, the time has come for me to return into the embrace of the Rusty Priest, so from January 5th, I will be off the wagon and back on the toxic juice, renewing acquaintances with the wonderful staff out at Concord Hospital. I liked the shot of Langford ordering that same kid off the field, and the shot of Taylor about to rumble with that bigger than average kid. I also liked that most of those kids seemed to be taller than Bowser.

I was informed today by my oncologist that despite my CT scan and blood test results looking good, I’ll be getting back on the ‘juice’ early in January, so unfortunately, all of my musical exploits will have to go on the back burner yet again.
