I was silly enough to involuntarily volunteer myself to put up the bones of what will hopefully one day become something useful, on this forum. Yes, a comprehensive list of the nicknames of those players who occupy a position in the 2024 Players List. I’d like to see this pinned to the top of the forum, and not just for this year, but to go on for years to come. I cannot take all of the credit for this (in fact, I can take very little credit), as the list that has passed to me for the compilation of this final list, was created by the hard work of @WalkingCivilWar … I have rearranged it to be in alphabetical order and added the players numbers in brackets next to each name. Thanks so much WCW, that’s a great list. However, I’d like to have a list of ALL nicknames regardless of whether we should know them well or not, as it’s a record that’s a more informal view of our playing list (and future playing lists)… it doesn’t need to be for just this season, it can be an ongoing record… indefinitely. Can I create a post from this and pin it to the top of the forum, or do I need to somehow get permission from Demonland or other moderator?

I’d say a post containing such a list could be pinned at the top of the forum, and that list could be updated as new nicknames are discovered (or invented) or as new recruits join the club.

Not so much the penny dropping, but more the fact that he has a midfield that knows how to deliver the ball. His belief in himself has skyrocketed and it shows!!

As much as I dislike the Pies as a traditional enemy (I was around for that golden era into the mid 60’s), I really do not like these generalisations about their supporter base. Are we all up at the snow during the season? Are we all sitting in the stands with our plate of cold cuts, the best brie/camambert and a glass of cab-sav? I’ve seen plenty of bogans in the red and blue that would give the worst Collingwood supporters a good run for their money. I’d love to see our supporters getting more vocal at games, although I think the problem lies in getting the numbers of supporters up… individually our supporters are probably doing their part, but Collingwood supporters sound louder because they are out in force attending the games.

I’m not sure… what do they say? 🤣 EDIT: haha, I missed the post after the one I’m responding to. I never had that problem fortunately as I was very careful about where I ate. I actually put on weight while I was there! But I do know many people who’d attest to the truth in those words.

I was there a long time ago (early 1989 I think it was), so I’m not sure whether there were using modern conveniences at that time (were they even available to those motorcycles produced in the west, back then?). But yes, you’d see them everywhere loaded to the hilt with both produce and human cargo.

Yes, he does tend to do it as well (I’d rate them almost even in that department 😁)… it’s frustrating.
