One little dot makes all the difference. Joys of punctuation!

Looking at the official photo of our 2021 Grand final team, it seems to me (my eyes anyway) that Luke appears to be clearly taller than BB. Now BB is listed as being 200cm tall while Luke is listed at 199 cms. Both are standing up straight with heads up. Have a look and see if anyone will agree with me on this one. Lets hope Luke has a Grand final performance in the absence of our champion Max. Go Demons, show us tonight your true form.

With senior players returning and form improving, the Eagles could help our cause to return to the top and hopefully knock off a few of our rivals. They were competitive enough on Saturday to indicate that upsets were possible. Since finals are out of the question I hope they win all their remaining games. Don't believe I wrote that, as living in Perth I DETEST the weagles and would normally want them to lose all games. Yes, I do have one red and one blue eye.

Was Bowey really that bad last match to be dropped? From what I saw first three quarters he was doing his usual safe job. Does he really deserve the chop?

My 3 word player analysis v Collingwood
Bobby McKenzie replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have only watched the first half. ANB was excellent and Bowey was his usual beautiful kicking to a team mate. They must have gone bad in the second half. -
Yeah, A team that wins ten out of ten would have to be a ranked as a 10 to 14 side. Strange comment.

My 3 word player analysis v Collingwood

With those comments Joeboy one would think we lost by 120 points. You do react badly to a loss. Happens all the time. Only one player received a positive comment and that was for one quarter only. -
Jordan omitted? Are you for real? You are joking.
-
Not so funny. Mitch did a far better job than Ben.
-
Couldn't do any worse the BB yesterday could he? He's lively and moves well.

Suspensions seem to be influenced by injuries inflicted. Thomas dumped Langdon forcibly and was free kicked for a dangerous tackle but not regarded as a reportable offence.Compare this tackle by Chandler. Was it really any more vicious ? What if Langers had sustained a punctured lung or fractured ribs would there have been a different outcome for the tackler? Inconsistency of the highest order. BTW I didn't either tackle was reportable. Just good red blooded tackles.

If you had your photo taken at the footy ...

I would love to be sitting next to our much shown GF friend who reflected what most of us were thinking after Petracca's beautiful dribbling goal to give us a 2 goal break on the Bullies. -
Great news indeed. However, if Ed is feeling the effects of the heavy tackle maybe a weeks rest wouldn't be a bad idea. I"m sure though that Ed would want to play against his old club. Over to you selectors. Viney in if fully fit. Maybe Mitch Brown for Tmac if he has an injury. I think he would offer more than Sam W. imo.

In this report on Salem training it mentioned that Ed Langdon had a light program after his crushing tackle against North. Surely he wouldn't be even there if he has broken ribs?

Jack Viney has hamstring soreness and has been replaced by Luke Dunston. Chance for the ex saint to show his colours.

I have always loved ANB's attitude and selfless approach to his beloved Demons. Works so hard week in and week out. Such a leader as our unofficial forwards coach. It is quite obvious he is highly respected and regarded by his teammates. Maxy , in his book was full of praise for Nibbler finishing with the words, "You don't win flags without guys like nibbler." Highest praise indeed and well earned. Thank you Alex.

Looked very deliberate did Ryan's action. Should have been at least two weeks. Chandler hard done by. Thats how you are supposed to tackle. We are not playing netball here. No offence girls, Netball is a great game.

Smith, Northey, Goodwin, Daniher, Roos.

Radar, I quite agree with your thoughts, but I did not in any way want to discredit the others. I guess I was saying if a team consisted of just 12 players they would have been my pick. Bowey, Petty, Kozzie, Sparrow along with others have huge potential. We are just blessed with so many good players. How many teams past or present could lose a third of their Premiership team and still comfortably hold off a tough team like the Hawks?
-
Not in any order but here are my thoughts. Love to see others choosing too. Gawn,Oliver,Petracca,Salem,May,Lever, Viney,Brayshaw,Neal Bullen,Langdon,Fritsch, and Jackson.

Dunstan as the sub makes a lot of sense. He is a versatile and good footballer.
-
Stupidity to even think ANB should be dropped. He is the ultimate team player and would be in the first picked each week.
-
Joeboy- Bit lazy Joe

What do you mean by limited athletically? ANB can run all day and he is not slow by any means. Before he became a footballing asset to us many branded him as just a fit athlete. The guy can match Langers in fitness and stamina. Like Langer he can run all day. Maybe you had tongue in cheek with your 'limited athlete' comment. Please explain what you meant.

Thanks for that info Satan. Overlooked Dean's untimely passing. Another champion gone.
