  1. Thanks for that mate. So do I take it that one can sit anywhere in the Great Southern stand? You don't have allocated seats? Where in the ground do the cheer squad sit? In the old,old days when i was living in Victoria, Melbourne football Club members sat together in the top level of the southern stand behind the goals at the Punt Rd end. Can one sit there now? No more questions. Once again, thanks to you and to those who offered advice on my query.
  2. In my annual membership package I have free entry to one Perth game involving the Dees and 4 home games at the MCG. I was wondering if someone could tell me where I would be sitting if I travelled across to Melbourne to make use of my free entries? it's a bit late this season but I would like to know where Interstate and country members actually sit at the G on home game days.
  3. With those stats just quoted what else does he need to do to reach A Grade classification? You mark hard mate.
  4. I thought it was his boot that smashed into Jeff's face. Even worse.
  5. Whatever the result of this poll, it is seriously flawed. The sample size is completely inadequate for a start. We have approx 3290 members of Demonland. Just 214 of us saw fit to vote, just over 6% of our membership. Hardly conclusive which ever way the vote went. The only important thing is what the Melbourne Football Club will do in the next few weeks. Let us just wait and see.
  6. What is he meant to be doing? Laughing? Gee BB this is a weak argument. Of course he is allowed to look stunned. I bet all the Dees were looking shattered at that moment.
  7. You are not in the minority mate. Have a look at the posters who rubbish him. Not really many different ones just the same old knockers venting their spleen over and over again which of course they are entitled to do.
  8. Actually Roosy gave them the silent treatment. He did not want to talk to them after the game.
  9. Silence can be very effective indeed. Ask the fieldsman who in the space of 30 minutes has put down three regulation catches. Dropped catch 1. "Bad luck mate!" Dropped catch 2. "[censored] mate that was a sitter!" (The equivalent of a boo), Dropped catch 3. SILENCE absolute silence. That deadly response is numbing and you look for a hole in the ground to swallow you up. Ask me, that fieldsman was me!
  10. I want MELBOURNE only MELBOURNE! However, if we joined up with St Kilda we would be barracking for the SAINT DEMONS! An interesting combination.
  11. Why wouldn't they be trying with many of them with their jobs on the line? No mate, they tried but are not good enough, Surely you are not suggesting that dreadful T word?
  12. No, that's not a prediction BB, just a personal hope.
  13. Simply because he is one of a handful of players with skills on our list. Not every team member has to an aggressive bull with very poor disposal. Every team needs outside as well as inside players. I think Jack's defensive game is on the improve. A lot more tackles starting to happen.
  14. I agree Jack. Booing is completely childish and do we really want to put ourselves in the same category as Richmond supporters when their team is playing poorly? The players tried but too many errors unfortunately.
  15. An easy decision indeed Ron. In a present team lacking in real skill we can ill afford to trade Jack of all people. It would be sickening if he went to top side and absolutely killed us with his reading of the play and pin point kicking. His tackling count is rising too so he is improving his defensive skills which is what many of us want to happen.
  16. Looked more like 41% later in the day old dee.
  17. We talk a lot of the importance of obtaining very early picks in the yearly draft. Watching Freo in action today I had a look at their fantastic midfielders and what number in the draft they were chosen, David Mundy- pick number 19 in 2003. We picked Sylvia at 3 and McLean at 5. Chris Maine- pick number 40 in 2007. We chose Cale Morton at number 4. Nathan Fyfe- pick number 20 in 2009. We went for $cully at 1 and Trengove at number 2. Wouldn't we love to have Fyfe in the red and the blue? Michael Barlow- pick number 8 in the 2010 ROOKIE draft would you believe? Michael Walters- pick number 53 . We chose Jack Watts at number 1. So is it pure luck how players turn out or is it good management? I would suggest a combination of both. What do you all think?
  18. You aint no stalwart mate with those comments.
  19. I agree. They won't beat Sydney up in Sydney. Not a chance in hell. Bloody Eagles could still finish in 8th place. All depends on North v Adelaide result next week.
  20. Damn. I overlooked that little matter didn't I? Oh well............Roll on 2015. I will be there cheering away without a great deal of hope. Negative thoughts?
  21. They won't make the finals if they lose to Essendon away and that is quite a possibility. If they do lose maybe their heart won't be there for our clash. Here's hoping.
  22. I saw David Mundy smile as he shook hands with an opponent after the game. How unprofessional was that?
  23. Salem has been picked for Casey this week. Still no mention of his quad injury on the MFC website. Is this just a silly rumour?
  24. Disappointed in Sam. I really thought he was going to be a gun player. Hopefully this doesn't happen at another club as often happens to us. e.g. Martin.
