  1. Dropping Sparrow?????? Tough call I reckon.
  2. Common sense prevails! Absolutely no immediate reaction from any Suns player. Players respond straight away when something dirty has occurred. They knew, like most of us, Jacob was just trying to spoil the mark. Look at Jacobs reaction too attempting to give a hand to help Ballard up and showing he was sorry to have caused an injury. Well done young man! I was also very impressed with Kozzy's genuine concern for the injured player as he stayed at the scene for quite a while.Great to have him on board at the MFC.
  3. I am overjoyed!!!!! Fly me to the moon!!! But make sure Im back to watch the mighty Demons. Reading Kozzie's comments about the deal shows what a sincere young man Kozzie is and how much the MFC means to him and his family. An outstanding person as well as a footballer. Well done our football department and Mr Taylor take a bow! Kozzie ,loved by his team mates and us supporters. What a way to start the day. Go DEMONS!!!!!!!
  4. He certainly was . A real dasher and showed amazing recovery from being on the ground to dashing away from all and sundry.A star high jumper meant he had a great leap also. Langdon is our current Don Williams I believe.
  5. And the photo of the Cripps incident was so very like Kozzies bump. Feet well off the ground. PLUS the other player was concussed. Interesting this one..
  6. Will be interesting to see how the Buddy incident is rated? Similar body contact. Probably just a fine.
  7. Agree with most comments. But why do you think Clarry is underrated? Which experts are you referring to? Oliver is an absolute super star. A real gem!
  8. Spot on. This kid is sensational. So cool and precise. 7 at least for me as well. Also think ANB could have been higher.
  9. Mighty hard to limit myself to just 5 having watched the demons at their peak in the fifties. I have seen so many absolute champions. Overall 1. Ron Barassi 2. Robbie Flower 3. Clayton Oliver 4. Don Williams 5. Max Gawn Plus another 50 who could be on this list. Petracca, Stuart Spencer, Laurie Mithen etc etc etc.
  10. Fair enough mate. I did think you meant his overall play. Sorry.
  11. Lacks consistency? Never plays a bad game. A true champion. Already a most damaging player in AFL and has been for years.
  12. ANB was back to his 2021 form. Great news! He is so important to us.
  13. According to the timeline on my phone app 'Footyinfo' (which is an excellent app by the way) Gawn kicked his goals at 8.16 in the first quarter and at 18.02 and 24.08 in the second Q.
  14. He did pick up quite a few in the GF though. Would have bumped up his average!
  15. As I mentioned yesterday imo Barassi would be a composite of Petracca and Oliver. Fierce determination, never say die attitude. 'Melbourne through and through' to quote the famed Norm Smith.
  16. Magnificent competitor never beaten. My football idol growing up. Could compete with the talls and moments later keeping up with the rovers. Those long arms! Get tackled by Ron you knew about it. I guess today a combination of Petracca and Oliver would sum up RDB. I'm sure Ron would be so impressed by these two current, absolute champions. Of course Robbie Flower would have to be in the same company with these players. My top 4 Demons of all time. And I saw many over the years. Happy birthday Ronnie.
  17. Hoping MFC include at least a premiership sticker to celebrate girls great victory. Shouldn't be too hard.
  18. I too hope that Schacke will show the ability he must have to go as pick number 2 in the draft. Would be a true bonus.
  19. My tip for breakout is our pick number 13 in the form of Kozzie. Just needs to develop consistency, but that will come I'm sure. Jake Bowey will show his followers and the selectors just how good he is.Should never have been dropped last season. Far too good to play VFL.
  20. Guess I have heard too much of the [censored] they play at my local shopping centre. Quite often in the toilet too. Very appropriate. I will look harder too WCW. Love your posts. Go demons!
  21. My favourite is 'They can't take that away from me', with good old 'blue eyes' Frank Sinatra. I think of this song whenever I look at our 2021 Premiership pennant and photo. Older posters will remember when the hits of the day had a meaning, audible lyrics and above all else, melody. Sad to say todays songs don't have that. Just a lot of noise with crash, crash banging with no tune. Guess we have run out of tunes and themes. Classical music is exactly the same. Rave over! But they can't take that(the premiership) away from me or you, my fellow demon supporters. Bring on 2023,24,25,26,27......
  22. Gee, give the guy a chance. Number 2 draft pick and good enough to be selected in a team playing in an AFL grand final. Lets see how he goes. Loved Sam W but he could be an upgrade on Sam. You don't get picked number 2 in the draft for nothing. Kicking style for goal very much like Bayley F.
