  1. I had the pleasure of meeting Ken at the Perth Demons support group. We were of a similar age and having watched him play at the G with Barassi, Spencer Cordner Williams etc etc we had plenty to talk about. I might be living in WA now but I will always be VICTORIAN through and through. He was such a pleasant man and it was my honour to have known him. Vale Ken.
  2. Winning the first 10 games in 2022 meant that at that stage we hadn't lost our edge. Maybe then we began to think that winning was too easy and became far too confident in our approach. Lets get it back in 25.
  3. We did well against both of these teams despite our injury concerns this season. Could have and should have won both games. We will be back in 25. Go Dees!
  4. When has Cameron featured in the coaches votes compared to Clarry. ? He is good no doubt but why is this turning into a contest between him and Clarry? Both are such valuable players.
  5. Good summing up. Missed Oliver.
  6. I have always had trouble splitting my admiration for Christian or Clarry as footballers. Christian is a big occasion player while Clarry, until this season, was so remarkably able to play week in and week out at incredible high standards. Both are champions and if we can get them back to their very best with our evolving youngsters could put us back in the premiership frame. Lets hope so.
  7. Great to hear from you OD from one really old dee to another. Your points are so valid and I reckon most of this forum would agree with the issues that you have mentioned. So sad that there is so much corruption the AFL at the moment. Hope it can be wiped out. Cheers, mate.
  8. Just think, if we had chosen Nic Nat instead of Jack Watts we would most likely have lost Max and watched in envy at this superstar player and person as he dominated at another club. Well done CHAMPION!!!! Love you mate.
  9. He will be available for the 2025 Grand Final and will kick 8 goals to give us another flag against Collingwood!!!!!
  10. Doggies, but I think Sydney will be tough to beat.
  11. No Barassi? The author has absolutely no idea. I loved watching little Ian Ridley (tiddles) but he was not in same street as Barassi, Smith, Flower,Petracca etc etc. Dusty not on Richmond list???????
  12. Stevic umpired very well in our GF win. No sign of dislike for the Demons there.
  13. Joe, I wouldn't try to upstage the oracle. QED to me is not the Latin "Quod erat Demonstrated" but, QUITE ENOUGH DONE. Enjoy the rest of the week end. ,
  14. Maybe you should watch the replay before your comments then.Often presents quite a different picture from the actual game live. Things the camera don't miss. QED
  15. Fair enough but I will stick to my opinion. That's what it's all about isn't i? I fully respect yours. Cheers.
  16. They did but I would sooner have the flag.
  17. Knee jerk reactionJoe, seems to lose the plot when we lose badly.Just 3 players passed his high standards.
  18. Thanks for that Rooster. Living in Perth I miss out on all the latest. Love your sense of humour. Cheers.
  19. Well, no one seems to verify that Tracc did resume light running. WCW, maybe you can answer this one?
  20. It was reported that Christian was resuming some light running earlier last week. Does anyone know if this actually happened?
  21. Could do very well in West Coast B and F Having a really good season.
  22. While Jacko served us well for three years before departing, we missed our opportunity to pick Hayden Young who was being considered by Melbourne for our first round pick. He is a brilliant player and being a Victorian, we would have had him for 14 years. One of the best kicks I have seen in the AFL. So strong, penetrating and accurate. Really pleased about Caleb, he certainly is a star of the future. Now we have get Langers to sign up.
  23. Another fine running game from Langers. Has he re-signed yet? Does anybody know?
  24. Having lived in Frankston for many years, I think that coast to land would be more accurate. I do remember the stiff westerly wind very well.
