Smling yes. I'd sleep a bit easier if I saw grinning and laughing.

Actually yeah, he is. Left hand side, second row from the back. Phew.

Not sure. Panic button at the ready.

I think we need to determine who didn't participate and then muse over how happy they are at the club.

Not a bad write up, although I'm not sure why anyone would consider T!Mac at $391K. He's not prone to big scores and I can't see that changing much this year? My number of Dees players has drifted from 1 up to 7. Back down to 5 with 3 starting. Watts will be a handy POD at the beginning of the season. Everyone will jump on him eventually.

i stopped reading after the part about Bachar Houli being elite.

I'm hoping Mags gets a call up this week to try and back up his performance against Port. If he reaches that level again, put him into the middle for Round 1.

Honestly I think it's gotten to the point where fans look forward to September for the lack of over-officiating as much as watching the top teams duke it out. Every game should be umpired as though it were a final, going by today's standards. This business of blowing the whistle every 10 seconds is ruining the game, period. This current NAB Cup has been almost farcical in that regard. Just surgically attach the whistle to their lips and be done with it.

I'm aware of that. I did say "where 160 is not unusual". Perhaps could've phrased it better but it doesn't detract from my point that 80 seems like a big drop. Anyhow, it's happening, and if it results in opening up the game without a significant impact on injuries then I think it will be deemed a success. I expect the intial period to be pretty rocky, but we will at the very least find out the extent of Neeldy's tactical nous in adapting to it.

Have to agree with Ben on this one. Whether it's power on or off the field (in this case being off), we wouldnt't have a player anywhere near the Top 20, let alone Top 10. The sense of shock in the OP is a bit bewildering. It's a nothing piece anyhow.

Love it or hate it, the game evolves. It's not 7 years ago, it's current day, where 160 rotations are not unusual and the players are conditioned towards that. Suddenly cutting that in half in the space of a season seems drastic. As others have suggested, cut to 120 and review would be the smarter way to go in my view.

This is the issue. No problem with the concept of a cap, but the number does not seem realistic. Players are going to be run into the ground and squads are going to be stretched to their limit. In an effort to make the game more entertaining, the opposite could result.
-
Mystified. 80 rotations just seems incredibly low for the modern game. It's time for Vlad to go now. His expiry date is well and truly up.

This is largely what kept my head above water in the abortion that was the 2012 season, and several seasons prior. You have to be there through the hard times in order to truly enjoy the good times. I think most of us can lay claim to having done the hard yards.

Cheers mate, much appreciated. Can't recall those Advanced Stats being there before. Good stuff.
-
Thanks but they don't have DE%. Someone mentioned Jetta had 90% so am wondering where they found that.
-
Where can I find NAB Cup stats including DE%?

Footage of NAB Cup 2 v Port Adelaide: Full Game Replay
P-man replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed on the commentary. Infinitely better than 5aa. -
I'd lean towards "somewhat respected". Did well and provided something to think about though. Not getting too excited until he can produce something similar in the real stuff. Don't forget he's also ex-Adelaide, and we were playing Port..

I assumed it was til I read the description, clearly made by a fan: "Number 1 pick in the 2008 AFL National Draft - Jack Watts. Renew or become a member of the original and oldest football club in the land at http://www.melbournefc.com.au/"
-
Slight injury cloud but if can stay fit, Hartlett is a gun. Would gladly take him off Port's hands.

Almost seems like it's extracting the urine. Listen to the music. lol Paging Mr Ben-Hur..

Jetta 20 possessions at 90% efficiency is fantastic to see. Well done to the lad.
