  1. His explanation of the tanking decision still insults the intelligence to be honest, and not one of them was buying what he was selling. Anyhow, it's over now.
  2. Quality bump Cowboy.
  3. Agreed. Pathetic, manipulative, woman bashing low life. A punch is too good for Nixon. Jail time is more appropriate.
  4. Brad Scott owns this thread. Card carrying [censored].
  5. lol..was my first thought as well.
  6. In the remote possibility that he plays at the top level again, he has a very long road back, and I have doubts about his application to get there. Really sad, was one of my favourites no doubt.
  7. I'm gonna take a stab and guess that stuie wasn't talking literally when he said they were acting like young men. I think he meant it more in the sense of them having a laugh.. Anyhow, falls into the "so bad it's good" territory for me.
  8. I get the feeling we're gonna be outnumbered on this one Stu.
  9. Bombers have the extra week off as well. Lose the momentum from this win but it allows for additional pep...ahem...PREP time.
  10. lol..what does that even mean? You mean Gazza doesn't actually roll around with a trophy on the beach? Well blow me over..
  11. Geeze, straight laced mob. Yeah it's stupid with awful acting to boot, but the times call for something a bit light hearted and offbeat.
  12. Hahaha oh c'mon Chook, lighten up.
  13. Love the bit with the Jacks. *Both staring intently at the cup* Trengove: "We're just two boys, standing in front of a girl.." Grimes: (chokes up) "..asking her to love us." Love it. http://youtu.be/uhheyETrq7s
  14. Bombers looking woeful.
  15. I will be over the moon if he can get anywhere close to that. Toumpas will be the best of the three long term, you can just see it, but Wines will have both our lads covered this year I suspect. He went toe to toe with the Eagles midfield and held his own, equalling the most number of clearances (5, equal with Boak). That is following his 10 clearances against us. He looks like a third year player and his impact on that side will be immediate and significant. Viney v Wines alone will be worth watching.
  16. lol..bravo rpfc. Though I'm pretty sure that describes me by the time the final siren sounds, wondering what the hell I just witnessed..
  17. I will never cheer for Adelaide as loudly as I will tomorrow night.
  18. Sportsbet has us finishing 15th above the Dogs, GC and GWS. This seems in line with most views I've come across regarding Melbourne's chances this year. Stu's right though, it's anyone's guess consinering the complete transformation of the list. Save your concern for fulltime against Port. If we get rolled, we're in for another rough ride.
  19. Toot toot. Actually there's something to feel good about - the fact that you're not Ricky Nixon.
  20. What I would give to see him in the red and blue again.
  21. A superstar with a tendency to go missing for long patches, and sometimes strings of matches at a time. Good player but nowhere near worthy of the hype surrounding him. The attitude and off-field issues alone are enough to steer well away. We are a club trying to BUILD a culture.
  22. Round 1 last year hurt big time considering the build up and significance, and it is fresh in the memory. It was a bloody horrible day to be fair. Expectations have been tempered, but positivity is still key. Despite any shortcomings in the midfield, our back line and forward line still stand up well alongside any team and are superior to Port's. A win in Round 1 is crucial and it is well and truly on the cards, but a very good performance will be required to get over the line.
  23. As bad bumps go..this is pretty bad. Absolutely not.
  24. Thought the same thing I must admit.
