It's a prediction thread, OD. "Who will be.."
-
I agree it's between these two, but interesting that you see Georgiou as fillng a greater need. Right now with Garlo going down it could be argued that he is, but with the long standing absence of crumbers and quality small forwards, I would've thought JK is filling a greater need. His versatility and ability to run through the middle only adds to that.

Tyson will be most valuable, but "find" in terms of one out of the box, JKH by the Flemington straight. Pick 40 is looking like a steal.

Geeze, terribly sorry that Mitch's situation has given your mates another reason to give you a hard time. I hope you can cope alright. Knee jerk reactions like yours do no-one any good. Yes it's a frustrating situation, but it needs a cool head with the welfare of the individual being paramount. Mitch may return, he may not. Right now, his health is what is important, and giving him the necessary assistance is what smart clubs and smart businesses do. As a side note, it really sickens me to hear people like yourself react to this with not just a lack of empathy, but actual contempt.
-
To equate any perceived acceptance of failure with acceptance of (what we assume to be) a mental health issue is seriously misguided. Think about the logic of what you're saying. Even putting aside Mitch's welfare which you've pretty much disregarded. What sort of environment do you create by telling a player in Mitch's situation to put up or shut up? Strong clubs do the exact opposite of your approach.

Quoted for truth.

Like we don't have enough misery to go round. If this thread is going to be bumped every time he plays a blinder, it's going to be bumped every second week. He's just re-signed. The thread serves no purpose other than to mourn the fact he doesn't play for us. Lock it and let's move on.

But what are your feelings about charcoal?
-
I hope he's enjoying the Gold Coast game, wherever he is.

Literally not possible. I'll follow them off the cliff. Being from Canberra I've had the opportunity to switch with the Giants but the thought never entered my mind.
-
I scoffed at opposition fans who said he'd never be coming back. Will be a real kick to the guts if they turn out to be right.

Did lol

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-03-12/season-predictions-2014-crystal-ball Most predicting he will stay. A lot still hinges on what happens this season but as long as there is meaningful improvement, he won't be going anywhere.

Seeing Barrett's name on the club website seems very wrong. Maybe Caro can pen an update on Hogan's recovery. Oh right, that's footy related.
-
Agreed. Howard was arguably the most accomplished polly we've seen. You don't last as long as he did without knowing all the tricks of the trade.

http://www.canberratimes.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/enormous-support-for-border-protection-policy-in-sutherland-shire-says-scott-morrison-20140314-34q4f.html Scott has a lot of support in Cronulla apparently... You couldn't script it.

Hunt is just a complete clown. It's odds on that when he opens his mouth, something idiotic is going to spew out of it. His BBC interview where he took the interviewer to task for swearing at him when she was quoting Tony's "climate change is crap" remark has to go down as one of the more absurd interviews I've heard. The man is an idiot and belongs in the thread title every bit as much as Tony. He's actually the perfect face for the portfolio under Abbott. As you pont out, it's been a shameful start to what is going to be a tough slog for anyone who gives even half a [censored] about the environment. Only Brandis nudges ahead of him for the title of most intensely unlikeable.
-
Just heard. What [censored] news. All been said but he really did seem like a terrific bloke. RIP Bails.

Practice Match - Melbourne v Hawthorn @ Casey Fields

My impression from this thread is that the Chicken Littles are in the minority. I think most understand this isn't a surprising result, albeit a slightly disappointing one. I'm still confident we can and should get a win in Round 1. -

Reality check city. Welcome to Melbourne Roosy. -
The upside is that once we get all three of them playing together*, it will be all the sweeter. *working on the assumption this ever [censored] happens.

Never a dull moment.

There are no words that can suitably describe that effort from Rhino. If anyone stayed up to watch it, I am extremely jealous.
-
Now that's a smackdown.
