To hell with those who say you shouldn't do comedy, Stu.
-
Yeah I get that, I just wouldn't publish it on our site. That might be just me though.
-
Granted, but to go so far as to tip the opposition? There is a place for having a bit of faith in the team, however misplaced it might be.
-
Wtf? That is just bizarre. Seriously, don't do a match preview on the club website if you're going to tip the opposition, and especially if it that opposition is struggling like Carlton are at the moment.
-
You have to now seriously question whether Grimes has the ability to lead the club. He might have leadership qualities but is he someone you want to follow onto the field if you are Bernie Vince or Dom Tyson? I can certainly see Jones taking on sole captaincy next year. He is the heartbeat of this club.
-
JKH to play from the start please. Just let the lad build some confidence as the game wears on and then blitz em.
-
We're no chance. There we are, all evened up.
-
Those Carlton omissions are a massive eye opener. Surely we are a chance. SURELY.

Interesting idea - Hire Clark as club photographer
P-man replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
A few reasons why not (mostly speculation): I think he will want to remove himself from a football environment for a while. He is more an artistic photographer. I doubt the subject matter i.e. training sessions, would be of much interest to him, if any. I am anticipating he will be moving back to WA, if not immediately then in the not too distant future. -
I have a quiet respect for all my fellow Demon fans. No other club has gone through a period like this, certainly not in the modern era. Even freakin Richmond has seen the dawn. They can say what they want about our club, but the supporters are built out of strong stuff. We've had to be.

Oh god..my headache from the last priority pick debate only recently subsided. It's happening again isn't it? I did say back then that another season like 2013 and the case would be pretty much indisputable. It doesn't lessen my distaste for the handout mentality that has infested this club and many of its supporters. Take the picks, but stop being so infatuated with them. It's embarrassing.
-
They've been shouted at. They've been cuddled. They've had everything in between. One by one the options are being crossed off, and you're left with them just not being all that good.

Interest Factor in football these days almost dead
P-man replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought this guy summed it all up pretty well.. http://mfcdemonblog.blogspot.com.au/2014/04/dont-cry-for-me-im-already-dead.html -
This club is like an addict looking for its next pick fix.
-
It hurts for sure. Just another blow for this wretched club. Wish him all the best. Time to move forward.

The continuing saga of Melbourne's injury list - 2014

Haha..I thought the same thing. -
Want to get a Rising Star Nomination? Just play Melbourne

Kelly will be another player I will choose to pretend does not exist. He joins names like Wines, Macrae, Darling, Sloane... -

^hahaha A Doctor of Bullsh,.. -
It's gotten progressively worse since 2011. If it was shocking back then, how can it be described now? Horrifying, perhaps. It's interesting that in the match reviews form the Scorps, not many posters thought Trengove stood out, yet the official match review was full of praise and had him as a pivotal match winner. I would certainly hope the club is being honest with itself in regards to Trenners and where he is at. If that lesson hasn't been learned by now, god help us.

Was probably looking at a few weeks in the magoos anyhow. Not ideal but not disastrous.
-
This has zero to do with judgement, though. This is him reporting on what he has supposedly heard from an inside source. And no-one is "hanging their hat" on it either. God forbid a report he is staying is a cause for some hope.
-
Robbo is usually pretty reliable with this stuff. Might be hope for him yet by the sounds.
-
How you got that clearly from Roos' presser I'm not sure. He could not have been more vague. He simply doesn't know. We'll find out soon enough.
-
I wouldn't just dimiss it as putting on a front for the media. He described him as being very good for 5 weeks, with that one bad quarter being a standout. Terlich won't be dropped. My changes would be: Out: Evans, Byrnes, Spencer In: McKenzie, Blease, Jamar I can't see how you wouldn't do a straight swap in the ruck if Jamar is ready. Give Clisby another run in the twos. If he can back it up, he can possibly come in for Gorgeous Georgiou. Watts is pretty lucky to stay in the side. His refusal to get his hands dirty is [censored] me. Another week of his tip toeing around and he should be dropped too. I'd also let JKH start and make Kent the sub this week.

Have a look at Roos' presser today. He explained his spray to Terlich but spoke very highly of his performances as a whole so far. He almost certainly won't be dropped, in fact he seems to have a fan in Roos.
