  1. He's also really keen for a three year contract. Will be interesting to see what happens.
  2. Miller scoffed at suggestions from other clubs and Judd's management that the Tigers could be the wild-card of trade week. "I spoke to Paul Connors last week to get some feeling for the situation, but I haven't spoken to him since," he said. "Even if things fall over with the other clubs, we could still knock back Judd. The Nick Stevens situation was a rarity and the other clubs will work it out."
  3. They get a home ground advantage at their home ground? How terrible!
  4. No. That story was a rumour regarding drugs that was denied by the AFL a couple of days after it started circulating. Haha.
  5. Short-term view when it's a long-term gain. If you look at the majority of what will be our best 22, they won't be at their peak next year. Thus, how we go next year is less important than in following years. Robertson is on his last legs - probably two good years at best, and needs to be played as a third tall to get the best out of him IMHO.
  6. You can download a 'Get This' podcast from MMM. Apparently he puts some effort into it too, rather than just slapping a few hastily edited bits together.
  7. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think we're seriously in the hunt before then.
  8. I remember him, and would be very happy if he was released to third tall.
  9. He was probably there to see his brother play.
  10. The WCE CEO has said it's a last resort. I'd be very surprised to see it happen.
  11. Why would they want to hire a man that was so easily swayed? I don't buy into this conspiracy theory. Anyhow, I better get back to disecting tapes of the 'moon' landing.
  12. I heard the comment you were referring to, but my recollection differs from yours. I certainly didn't hear Watson assert that 'this is his last game'. - The Age 22/9 From what I've heard (in the media), Wakelin will continue next season if Malthouse wants him to. If not, he'll hang up the boots. His brother at Port will be retiring at the end of this season.
  13. As you said, he started footy very late. AFL football is a job, and many players will make more money playing football than will post-retirement. I imagine that he wants to make hay while the sun shines, and that's his right.
  14. Great idea. Wish we'd done that for the new Coach issue!
  15. Makes sense. I hope another Club is interested - can be a win/win for everyone.
  16. Neitz & Holland have one year left. Miller hasn't proven he's in our best 22. I don't see Dunn as a FF/CHF-type in terms of build, and it seems we might want to use him in a utility role a la Bruce. Who does that leave us with? Robertson, who's an ageing third-tall with a future up in the air, and youngsters Bate & Newton. Hardly an embarassment of riches. I wouldn't say no to a forward. That said, I don't know about McGregor.
