  1. Yeah, I have to agree - this is a thread for 2011 or 2012. Still far too much development needed in the young kids. For example, far too many people are expecting Tapscott to surprise (an oxymoron, I know) He may have a bit more muscle than most his age, but it takes a bit more than that to succeed at the next level.
  2. Depth..? What is that??!?
  3. Yeah, fair enough. I am too, I guess. Especially considering (in my experience) AFL players tend to be lightweights since they've become more 'professional' during the season.
  4. It was the players' xmas party. I've had plenty of sessions like that and I know a lot of guys with more stamina than myself.
  5. I'd also hope Gysberts doesn't blossom into a player who tends to handball to his teammates' feet or kick needlessly to a 50/50 to disadvantage.
  6. Gysberts has much better disposal than Bruce, you'll find.
  7. This is why I'm not a lawyer...
  8. Testifying, in that case. Casboult would have to testify that it was done against his will. Which, to be honest, I doubt it was. Peer pressure would have had him agree to it.
  9. Steven Stretch's son. Also highly rated. We take them with a Father-Son pick if we so desire and they agree to it (can happen that the player doesn't a la Marc Murphy who could've gone F-S to Brisbane but chose to stay in VIC by going in the ND so the Blues could choose him). We nominate a player as a F-S pick, all other 15 teams get that chance to bid for the player by nominating which pick they would like to take him with, then if we want to "match" the highest of those picks and take the player we can. Otherwise the other team gets to reserve him at that pick. "Matching" another team's nominated pick for that player involves forfeiting the pick we have in our possession that comes directly after that proposed pick. (or it may be our pick in the same round as that proposed pick - can't exactly remember) This excludes picks that are traded for because the F-S nominations are made before trade week commences.
  10. It'd be quicker to figure out which guys you wouldn't put on this list.
  11. Cos they're all mates and play at the same club. He'd never even consider pressing charges.
  12. Things like that I don't think we as supporters should be privy to. Through knowing a few of our players I see some photos that should be for their eyes only. Fortunately most of them are technologically savvy enough to keep them unaccessible by the general public, but I worry there's some accidents waiting to happen...
  13. Handcuffs Casboult... Perfeck. Shame, cos I've met the kid and he's a nice one too. Not long before the rot sets in though...
  14. Yeah, I thought the joke was valid and appreciated it without knowing about the latest. How has he not pulled his head in? I just can't understand why you wouldn't behave after everything that has happened to him...
  15. Has sufficiently pulled his head in, I believe...
  16. hahahaha I did notice a few words were invented over the course of trade week and the National Draft... I meant to keep a list cos there were a few absolute pearlers... Before worrying about "back would" maybe he should work on mastering the art of forming separate sentences.
  17. Did you know about Lovett's recent indiscretion when you posted that..? Prophetic. Makes it all the more comical, even if we shouldn't laugh.
  18. The thing with the Primus logo is that it was white. The Hankook and, until recently, the Kaspersky logos have needed a block white background. Not sure if this can be rectified considering the nature of the hankook logo.
  19. I'm fairly certain you are still wrong and a score of 59 does not mean you did better than 59% of people who completed VCE.
  20. I'd have thought so too. Amazing that they could stand by and let this event go ahead like this, or that the players haven't been seriously forewarned against this sort of behaviour. Not to mention the organising players being members of the leadership group. I know North had chicken-gate not so long ago, but that should have reinforced the need for sensible behaviour coming from those in leadership positions. As many people have pointed out, it is the epitome of irony that Sticks Kernahan should be made to berate his players for this sort of behaviour. Rotten to the core, that club, and I couldn't be any happier about it.
  21. And 'barely conscious'? He'll never live down his reputation as a lightweight either!
  22. I read that Houlihan was one of the organisers? Sounded like a function for the players, by the players, to me.
