Is Howe the best contested mark you've seen?
dees189227 replied to Deestroy All's topic in Melbourne Demons
I just feel confident when the ball is kicked to him. I cannot remember the last time he has dropped a mark. I just expect a hanger from him every week. This is why I want him in the foward line so he is a foward target just like today. -
Well it was a relief to win because its a week where we wont be in the media for losing. It would have been diasterous if we lost. It was nice to hear the song after the game and it was a nice sight to see people on the G having kick to kick. The game was finished off with a nice Howe mark and goal and so happy for brad green to kick the goals again. Would like to see him back it up next week.

Great news. So much for the players not being on board with neeld and his game plan and relationships have gone sour. Thats now Jamar, Howe and Jones re-signed. Players who are easily in our top 10. Well done.

On the Couch - Brock talks about 'tanking'
dees189227 replied to jumbo returns's topic in Melbourne Demons
Poor neeldy will now be asked about these allegations even though he wasnt at the club at the time but some journo will ask the dumb question. Seriously what else does this club need to deal with this season. Bring on 2013. This season cant end quick enough. By the way Brock have the guts to name names. Who was it. -

Who could forget the round 22 game known as the Kruzer cup. When Carlton let Travis Jognstone run free and he got 40 possies. That was tanking. It cant be investigated because everyone will just deny it. The AFL have already knocked this on the head. I think this club and mark neeld has been through enough this season. Let it go. -
Well I will be there today cheering on Brad. Interesting to hear Neeldy say Rivers got up and spoke about Green today and said it was impressive stuff. Im not sure if Brad has another season in him so it would at least be a nice memory for him if we could win.

So next week I'm going to the Darwin game for the 1st time. I'm up there for other reasons but it just happened to fall on the Port game. So I have a few questions. Can you just rock up and but a ticket at the game and are they the same process as here? Is the ground easy to get to? Is there seating or do you just stand? Is it a good ground to go to?

Im rapt for the gold coast. Also I think this puts GWS back on the bottom. But im glad we wern't the first team to lose to them. Its weird how they can thrash hawthorn yet blow this game to the bottom team. But hopefully Karmichael has shut up the people who have knocked him. he did something tonight that professional footballers who have been in the system for 10 years cant do. he was just so calm and went back and slotted it.

Went to the game today. Loved the first 3 quarters but knew once Jamar went off we were in strife because Stef had kicked 2 in the first quarter and was looking really good in the foward line then he hurt himself and could hardly run. Blease's goal was great and then that was it. Freo just got the run on. I like the way Blease backs himself and takes on the player but would like to see him get more of the ball. Just the last quarter. It was all summed up when Grimes instead of kicking into 50 went across the ground and the mark was dropped and freo scored a goal. We just couldnt get the ball out of the middle. So frustrating. I sat there and thought what are nth going to do to us in 2 weeks time at this ground, especially coming back from darwin.

Well maybe a few more will come to see Couch's debut. At least crowd numbers will be boosted some more with his family turning out.

He said the other week when wc beat carlton that he felt sorry for melbourne because they didnt take mik nat. Well Greg at the time we wernt looking for a ruckman, we were looking for a key foward. Also I reckon Nic Nat would have got homesick and gone back to perth. Get over it. I felt like asking him if he feels sorry for richmond because they took Tambling over Franklin and Fiora over pavlich. I actually stopped listening to KB on thursdays and fridays.

So what crowd do you think will rock up at Etihad next week. I reckon around 10,000 or just a bit over. Im not expecting a big turnout. Will be interested to see how we go next week. We never won at etihad under Bails and im sure Neeldy will address our issues at the stadium.

Which is worse: our skills or decision making?
dees189227 replied to pitmaster's topic in Melbourne Demons
When we were doing those asnnoying handballs it was flashbacks to Dean Baileys plan. We know it isnt neelds thing and it was just the pressure Richmond put on us, Mark summed it up when he compared our errors to auskick stuff. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
dees189227 replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
I will be shattered if we decide not to get Jack with pick 3. yes ok we will miss out on a 17 year old who could be a gun but we could also get another morton, Mclean or sylvia who yes is good but not consistent. Why wait for a player to take years to show potential when we know Jack is ready. he is tough, hard at the ball and is a great player. We already know what we will get. He would be a player that Neeld would love to coach. Imagine a centre square line up of Jones, Moloney if he stays and Viney. We would be crazy if we let him slip and I reckon his dad would be pretty cheesed off as well. Look at our recruiting in the past, it hasnt been great. Jack is settled into the club. I say just get him. He would be a great father/son pick up better than the last one. Ive been waiting for one of these past players that was a superstar to have a son want to play for this club. Look at geelong, abblett, scarlett and hawkins. JAck Viney would be ready round 1. -
This just sums our season up.

I was relieved. It just would have been a diaster if we lost. But it was so nice in the last half just to sit there and watch us play knowing we had won. But it was also good to thrash a teamI loved the torps especially the 1st one that went straight to rivers. Sylvia was great and if did that every week then he would be so exciting. Loved Bates game, always been a fan and just love his long kicking. I agree, I loved how Neeld had the guts to go with Rivers down foward again. He always reads the ball well down back and is a great mark so him going foward is fantastic. Frawley and McDonald can handle themselves as well as watts. Even Dunn down back was good. Mitch Clark just keeps silencing his critics. Its a shame he got injured. His pack marking is brilliant and his kicking has improved so much.

Also if Davey cant get back into some sort of good form this week then he is in serious trouble. Bottom line is we must win or its another week from hell from the media and Mark Neeld doesnt need another week of crap.
-
Blease also injured himself in the essendon game so maybe he still has some effects from that. But happy to see Bate back. Scully will be shattered, he wont have his mate out there to hug after the game.
-
Does anyone know if Schwartz went to Jimmys funeral? Im sure he will be welcome at the club. I thought he would had been back with Jimmy as president but I guess Jimmy also had other htings to worry about. I hope he does come back some day and be welcomed back. He was great to watch and I was shattered when he retired. But im glad his life has turned out great for him now.

"Don't go to the snow, come see Scully" - Sheedy

From the sounds of Jon Ralphs tweet I think scully is facing the media today to get it out of the way. Cant wait to hear what he has to say, -

There are 3 main reason why we have to win. For neeldy in the way if we lose its another week of melbourne, neeld and player bashing by the media To actually show we can play good football Because I dont want scully and his mate sheeds walking off the field grinning I agree though I hope no one boos James McDonald. We stupidly got rid of him and he didnt leave us and he could have been all bitter and slagged us off but he didnt. But Id would have loved to see tappscott sit Scully on his arse but I hope Magner can do it. Nothing crude but just a fair hip and shoulder. I think Scully will be building himself up for this. I can just imagaine sheeds talking to the suns this week saying they arent that great and we can easily best them. This is the game I fear the most. There midfeild is quick and there foward line is strong. I just hope our experience gets us through. -
No way would I want Arocca. He looks like a scary man but my thing is last time we played nth in r1 he and some others sat behind me in the members and he was horrible. He winged and complained and bagged us for the music we had playing pre game, he abused the umpires, kept yelling out to the nth blokes to hit our boys and I remember thinking im sure no other CEO sits there and carries on like an idiot. Yeah he was passionate but as a CEO i just expected better behaviour.

dees189227 replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think its wednesdays that David King is on SEN after 7:30am. Everyone should text or call in and ask him does he still think our square peg coach still cant coach.
