I found it a tad strange and thought he went to perth today for a few days. Got that wrong. The media are going to make it bigger than what it is. If he hasnt signed before the start of next season the scrutiny will be a whole lot worse next year. If he does go can we blame Neeld for this, as he wanted him to the club and its like a final dagger in our heart if he does go home. Neelds final legacy. And another thing does anyone else get that awful feeling that it's just our luck that we finally get a great player and we will lose him and freo after missing out on so many players we will be the ones who lose out. If Jesse is homesick we cant stop him. Judd came home, Danger came home and we are seeing McCarthy now. I hope he stays.

https://twitter.com/jackviney7 Very happy to have re-signed with the Dee's until 2020. The club is creating something special and I definitely want to be part of it Don't miss @jackviney7 on the #9AFLFootyShow TOMORROW! -

Never ever did I worry about Jack going. His heart and blood is red and blue. Next captain for sure and what a great season he is having. -
Vickory had a shot for goal to get them back to 16 points and he hit the post. Hawks just go bang and end up doing it easy.
-
wow Mitchell out for the hawks. Huge loss. No Hodge either.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 7
dees189227 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dunn had a shocker last week. Not surprised he was dropped. I expect Tommy to bounce back and hope he can do the job on lynch. Ablett had the heat put on him by his teammates so I expect him to come out firing. Hope we can shut him down. But happy to see Oliver back. Geez I hope we bounce back. -
When I wrote it I thought well the game isnt actually over. now only 8 points. WC will do it easily over the pies. But that would be expected.
-
Geez it really is a disgrace we lost to essendon. Carlton have just gone bang and kicked 4 in a row. In a way im happy to see the bummers lose and I know from essendon fans all they wanted to do was hope they at least beat carlton. So if they cant do that then they will be annoyed. But it would be good to be not the only team to lose to them.

Where does Chris Dawes fit in all this?

I thought he was coming back for casey this week or did I get that wrong? -
So how did Trenners go? Did Garland play well?
-
Carlton essendon should be interesting. On last weeks form you would pick Carlton but they aren't a sure thing. I think the bummers may get them.
-
Yep unfortunately now we are starting to win we get caught up in the excitement especially when the media get caught up as well and start talking finals. But hey its better than 4 years ago when every week was just depressing. Stkilda are also a good team. If we get thrashed next week against GC then I will be more mad.
-
Hey it could be worse. We could wake up this morning as a richmond fan.
-
I hope Dimma won't run with they can make finals this year.
-
Wow Port did it easily. I did not see that coming. I mean I just thought Richmond would bounce back with there ins. But good on Port. It will be all Dimma next week. All eyes will be on them next friday night when they play the hawks. Who do Richmond have to come back apart from Rance. Yarran? Yeah he is going to help them. Not sure if its a good thing or not to play a team coming off a 100 plus point win. But im pretty sure we still have confidence in our game than GC. Anyway we are 9th.
-
Yep they mentioned on radio today Neitz was the last one to do it.
-
Yeah a bit strange that we gain a spot after losing. But that's a positive. Port kick the first 2 goals of the last quarter. Now up by 33. Small crowd there tonight. Official attendance at the MCG tonight is 27,07. Wow I know its a saturday night but geez the tigs fans have dropped off.

If a fit Dawes was able to stand beside Hogan in the forward line it would take the attention of Hogan and also create another target for us and a forward line of Hogan, Watts and Dawes would look good with Jeff at there feet.
-
Wow port 21 points up at 3/4 time. This is a team that doesn't contain 2 of its best players in Gray and Wingard. Geez Port please hold on. It would be a massive upset. I thought the tigers would easily win this.
-
Well id rather lose to the saints then to either richmond or the pies. Can I just say how good Nick Riewoldt is and even at his age and with that dicky knee how much he just runs and covers the ground. Easy when he was on his own most of the game but the guy just does not stop running. Even in defence he'd get back. Anyway well done on Hogan, he could have had 9 but he was quiet last week and people go on about his kicking action and sooking it up but geez his marking was good to watch.
-
port 16 points up halfway through the 2nd.
-
It's just frustrating because we could have been in the 8.
-
His past 2 weeks he has been good with his run. Today was his old way when he just got caught. Id drop dunn before him. Id bring in Col and drop Dunn. Hunt at least tried to run it out the backline. Salem may miss because of concussion.
-
Geez what a job GWS did on the hawks. But as a hawks fan you cannot complain. Just watch the last 3 premierships instead. Id love to see port beat Richmond. Just add more pressure on them. Freo still winless. It's just strange to see them on the bottom.

It was lucky we played the saints because only 29k turned up. If it was an interstate team that figure would have halved. I agree though about geelong or even nth because later on we have to play the saints again at etihad but obviously as an away game. So thats 2 advantages they have.
