Well r7 was only 2 weeks ago. Maybe its just a safety precaution with him and just keeping him out for a week. I mean after Angus and his concussions and Heritier is still missing after his for a third week with concussion. So if he isnt playing for casey id say its pre caution. Having been at the game today and watching the dogs live. Wow. they are quick, they manage to find space easily and free players and rarely miss there targets. They have 2 good forwards up there in Redpath and Stringer. They did there homework on Gawn. Completely shut him down. We missed easy shots at goal and turned the ball over a number of times. Im not angry but geez I expect us to bounce back against the lions next week.

Its great to get that excited feeling going to the footy again knowing we can win. I hope the good melbourne team come out to play. Im looking forward to seeing Petracca playing another game and how our midfield goes and hopefully watching Maxy dominate the ruck and around the ground. We are in 8th spot. We have to now own our position in the top 8.

Wow that was a great last quarter and Rance just stood up when it counted. To have the confidence to leave your opponent in Buddy to go over and intercept the ball was great. But yeah they had the ball in there hands with under a minute to go. Instead of chipping it to buddy who was near the boundary line on his own the player just kicked it into there forward line and thats how the turnover occured. Just having a look at the ladder. Tomorrow we have to win just to try to get 2 games clear of the teams behind us.

If we lose to Brisbane next week on our home ground it will be an absolute disgrace and a worse loss than the essendon one. We should be able to beat that rabble by 10 goals.

Im excited about this game. It's great its at the G and it will tell us where we are at. Maxy should dominate the ruck and around the ground and I hope we can contain Stringer and its Libba who usually cuts us up. But it would be great to have many many melbourne fans there and make some noise and drown out the doggies.

Honestly its good we have a back up ruckman in case anything happens to maxy and god help us othing happens but im not that excited about him re-signing. He isnt up to Maxy's level, but he is actually a good tackler and can clunk it. But I still have that image of him on the mcg a few years ago, the ball no where near him and he ran up the field and just fell over after tripping up on his feet. Anyway we will see how he goes when he can get a game
