  1. you ignore my 3 excellent points in order to be negative and talk about a superstition whatever
  2. I don't think you're the slightest bit crazy. We beat them by a comfortable 39 points 11 weeks ago - and although we had Vandenburg in then, we didn't have Tyson, Dawes, Jetta, Gawn, Viney or Salem. Last week we played a dominant half against a good side and we had the flu. Dees by 20.
  3. Thought it interesting to note how many changes (7) there are between our match last week vs the win over the doggies 11 weeks ago: OUT: Vandenburg, Toumpas, Newton, Pedersen, Fitzpatrick, Riley, Bail IN: Viney, Tyson, Dawes, Michie, Gawn, Jetta, Harmes, Neal-Bullen Of course many of these changes are to do with who is/was injured at the time, but nonetheless the end result is a vastly different side to be taking on the dogs for the 2nd time.
  4. Yes, this is what many of us having been saying from the start and we have started to see it come true in the second half of this year as the team starts to 'click' a bit better than it has it in years. If Watts had started at the Hawks et al he would have had a completely different, and successful, career IMO
  5. Yep. JW has always been a soft target of the media, who massively exaggerate his shortcomings and use him as a tool to carp on MFC supporters. Unbelievably this mindset has been absorbed by some of our own supporters, who perpetuate it to torture themselves and each other.
  6. Can somebody point me in the direction of anything official at all that talks about this supposed virus that swept the club, apparently affecting multiple players at both the MFC and Casey? Is this just a Demonland rumour or something more? If it is in fact true, I would suggest the club acknowledge it formally as you could well argue it cost us a match this week.
  7. All I know is that we have 3-5ths of a spine: Hogan, Gawn, McDonald and 5 gun midfielders: Viney, Tyson, Brayshaw, Petracca, Salem (Trengove) Huge hopes for all these young players and it's a quality base to build from Then again, I said exactly the same thing when the group was Scully, Trengove, Morton, Grimes, Watts, Frawley, McKenzie and Jurrah That worked out well didn't it
  8. That's an outrage Viney should be there too but I guess when you think about those 4 NM players did all have a day out
  9. Exactly - and we all know that over the last decade or so we have been such a complete mess of an organisation that in order for decent players from other clubs to agree to come here we have to bring more cash to the table. It's really simple.
  10. All anyone should need to know is that Roos picks him every single week because he understands football and the importance of this player for our club at this point in time But some people feel the need to come on here and bleat for him to be dropped every week, as if Roos is some clueless mug and it is they who should be coaching instead It's annoying. Back the coach.
  11. Part of me thinks (hopes) that if/when the time comes to get him to sign, the AFL might just be lurking secretly in the background to make sure he stays a dee.
  12. No most of them just have a list with a few names on it that they take the opportunity to sledge at every opportunity, regardless of what actually happens on the field If you're over the age of 21 and get a decent contract then God help you if you stuff up
  13. All I said was that he was fantastic last week. Which is clearly true. The rest of your post does not relate to what I said.
  14. These flogs weren't able to have their usual whinge this week cos Dawesy was fantastic, so all the hate has gone to Lumumba
  15. It's customary to link the article so that others may read it also.
  16. Yep, in 2011 Jurrah and Green combined for 77.. Garlett and Hulk are on 64 now
  17. it demonstrates very clearly that on two occasions already this year we went into a match with very little reason to expect victory, but on the day we stepped up and performed
  18. we are a massive chance Pies 11 losses/draw in a row SMASHED in '15 Cats 12 losses/draw in a row SMASHED in '15 North 13 losses in a row... Plus look at their results, they haven't done much this year
  19. good call he gets judged for his 'sins' way too harshly as do the other whipping boys such as Toumpas and Dawes
