LOL at waiting one day into the off season to make this thread No doubt there will be about 30 like it before R1 2016

You've got to be pretty rapt with the 8 debutants: Hogan, Brayshaw, Vandenberg, Stretch, ANB, Harmes, O-Mac and White. The other important thing to note is that Petracca, Trengove, Frost, Salem and Kent missed all, or the majority of, the year. They will make a very fine group of inclusions next year. And for something a bit different, I loved our R3 loss to Adelaide, where Bernie Vince just gave it to his old side. We stood up that day and it was a lot closer than the 25 pt margin suggests.

Well that's obviously not true is it, so it is clear who is talking rubbish

the GWS bloke #35 was so overcome simply by being near Hogan in full flight that he seems to just pass out on the deck without anyone touching him

Thanks - that doesn't sound at all to me like they have him up for trade

Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
Curry & Beer replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nah I would suggest the definition of a 'peanut' to be somebody who bases their analysis of the situation solely on whatver happened yesterday The fact is that we were absolutely awful as a side for 8 of the 10 last games. Go and look at the results yourself and tell me this is not a fact. Yesterday was very good. We were very good in 4 or 5 of our other 6 wins also. Maybe 1 or 2 'honourable' losses - but the other 14-16 rounds of footy we were deadset dreadful. To state the bleeding obvious we need to work on that ratio, there is still a huge problem for mine that is represented by the fact we came out 4 weeks in a row with zero intention of playing a game of footy. The distance we are from the top 4 or so sides is still alarmingly great. A very long way to go. -

DEMON SELECTION CONTROVERSY ADDS TO AFL WOES
Curry & Beer replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I seriously thought we were in some sort of trouble when I saw the thread title, nothing would surprise me anymore -
I'll give you 50-1 we don't win a flag by 2020, that is madness

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 23
Curry & Beer replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn't suspect we were going to trade Nathan Jones for example. Not many in the 22 have trade value, but Watts does. Many think his preceived value is higher than his actual value. We have already stated outright we are going to be active in this trade period. You don't get quality by trading away Matt Jones. So it is worth a raise of the eyebrow. -

It would be very surprising to me if this is an 'innocent' dropping, there must be something going on -

Simplistic If it really is part of the 'A+ midfielder' plan then I will pack his bags -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 23
Curry & Beer replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn't like it either, BUT in all likelihood he would continue at another club the way he has gone here - moments of brilliance and occasionally solid match with very little in between..meanwhile we could be experiencing a strong net gain as a result of what they are cooking up -

Great to have this bloke (McCartney) at the club
Curry & Beer replied to Chris's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am so sick of people at this club saying all the nice things I want to see something tangeable happen on field The fact is that the last 4 weeks we have played teams all over the ladder and lost them all by an average of 9 goals Worse, we have done it in a way that looks like the team is not particularly interested in what's going on In fact, you could easily argue that since the bye we have regressed to being the worst side in the comp again No amount of platitudes from the staff, admin and players will make any impression on me while this is happening on the field -
