what has happened is what always happens at Melbourne, we believe our own hype and everybody turns up expecting the others to do the work for them. The players that you expect to take a step forward go backwards, the club is administered like a school fete, people stop showing up, the media gets stuck in and everybody gets injured. 100% Melbourne.

like I said, only 2 of those I can see making a big impact for this club

a couple of things that should go undisputed -to win a flag you need AT LEAST 4-5 true 'star' players, that is players who are all-australian or close to it. -in addition to this you need about 20 decent players so that, allowing for a few injuries, you never take the field with any complete spuds in the side for different reasons, Jurrah, Scully, Morton and Grimes aren't going to deliver for this club so we find that apart from Watts and Trengove we have nobody that can become 'stars' and i'd struggle to get to 10 that you could call 'decent' we're stuffed

and it also doesnt take into account whether or not the tackle actually sticks or its just a slight hindrance as they waltz through.. aka the morton style

Jurrah has come from the middle of nowhere to have kicked 75 goals in 33 games in a side that has largely been smashed the whole time he has been here. That is a brilliant effort and he doesn't deserve this.

and three of those wins were by 90 points+ didnt hear too many complaints when we flogged Essendon either
