  1. yes the new coach will have hulk dawes clark but it will mean sweet FA if we can't find a way to get it down to them.
  2. pft tell us then what he said that doesn't ring true, all makes total sense to me
  3. the ox is in there also, they talk about -its the 'way the world is' if you don't perform you're out, whether he's a good guy or not doesn't matter -MFC has long been looking for a 'bargain' coach, first timer they hope will ne successful -selection panel has battled previously -what if Roos costs more than the rest, should we go for it, throwing money at it is not necessarily the way to go. Roos is reluctant -is it a poisoned chalice -the saddest thing is our list has not bottomed out yet - Dermie -4 mistakes with mature age recruits I agree with most of what they are saying, well worth a listen
  4. yeah but is it Neeld's fault.. surely he is not responsible for micromanagement like that
  5. there's something we haven't heard much of in the last 21 months
  6. don't think so this time.. removal of the CEO, President and coach is a good move for mine
  7. looks like I'm watching FC for the first time in about 3 years
  8. how many total speculations can you rip out of your butt and fir in one post
  9. i am of the firm belief that we should trade the picks for established quality midfielders a)I have confidence we are pretty well placed with KPP, particularly up forward b)we can't develop players. we suck. we need to get our talent pre-developed at proper clubs. c)enough of this low ave. games stuff in general. we need some more experience, pronto. we simply can't afford to wait years for more kids to supposedly get good. as a club we have to become at least respectable right away or its curtains no doubt trading these picks will mean we have to accept to be shortchanged, that's just the way it goes. We are in a shocking spot at the moment and low on options though. I say go for it, get a couple of A- or B+ mids and a new coach and hopefully the wheel turns quickly.
  10. i don't get it, are we asking for a pick regardless of what happens for the rest of the year? if we continue the way we are going doesn't that give us a pick without having to ask for it? conversely, if we happen to win a few more and not meet the criteria do we want a pick anyway? or have i missed the point and priority picks are not supposed to even exist anymore?
  11. thats an understatement - I count 17 of the 22 who are a)high draft picks b)proven to have shown great ability in the past or c)both. If you knew nothing else about a footy side except that information you would be pretty damn happy to take them that's what's so bloody frustrating
  12. you may be right on those three, but the picks they were taken at were in later more speculative region, I was referring to the top 5 more so plenty of misses from all clubs around those late first round picks
  13. couldn't it be agrgued that Neeld also agrees with this position, and in taking over the helm it was clear to him that the carp culture was the result of the poor leaders in the group - so he did the only thing he could do which was to give leadership to two younger blokes who are lauded for their exceptional character and professionalism, in the hope they will begin to generate their own successful culture over the upcoming period. This has now become one of the biggest punches being thrown at Neeld, which I am not sure I agree with
  14. couldn't agree more what people seem to constantly gloss over is the fact that every single pick we had at the pointy end of the draft was used on a player who was selected exactly where the footy world expected him to be selected. Had we gone with real smokies and they didn't wiork out, that would be another story, but we didn't.
  15. exactly, and obviously the fact that you haven't had many high draft picks over a long period of time inherently means that you have been at least moderately successful on the field over that period of time. This means you have been winning, making money, retaining a consistent list, stability etc. Winning begets more winning
  16. so youre saying if he doesnt get sacked he wont get paid out, thanks for pointing that out
  17. well it has to be at least that much just knowing what coaches make I don't think ANYONE is contesting whether in fact we will have to pay out his contract bit obvious yeah?
  18. it is obvious to everybody that we are an utter shambles at present. Sack everybody, change the mascot, change the jumper, burn down the MCG. Get us much distance between the bucket of terds that we currently are and our future incarnation, I say.
  19. geez 600K just handed to you, 10 years of the average wage,as a reward for being an utter failure.. not a bad line of work this coaching stuff
  20. That's ridiculous He's committed a whole bunch of serious crimes in a very short period of time, he has gotten off super easy if you ask me
  21. former very high up staff member told me straight out that Gysberts was given the A because he was considered too soft
  22. LOL, that image was actually a musician called Sean Rowe. I recently became obsessed with Miss Olivia Munn and her delicious blend of German and Chinese looks.. and I felt like a change. Rest assurred, this will not effect the lugubrious nature of my comments.
  23. thought exactly the same thing and cam here to post it LOL
