  1. From the website's "About" information: So, I assume that the AA Panel makes the final decision. The only difference voting makes is to drive people to the site, and buy more burgers.
  2. No disrespect to the Russian, but Jeff White says hi.
  3. So has 'Jordie McKenzie'. Looks a helluva lot like Cheney. EDIT: Damn you Demon Hill, you and your adequate speed internets.
  4. Also highlights that he plays well when we win....
  5. Thanks for the edit. Almost had a heart attack.
  6. Gooner, seriously, have you seen PJ, the Spencil and Juice in the ruck this year?
  7. Ignore everything I said. 192cm? Do not want.
  8. Didn't say he'd demand one, but assuming all our players come on as hoped, we are going to be in for a big TPP bill in years to come. Therefore, I saw it as best for MFC that he gets a front-loaded deal. See also: the salary cap mismanagement that is the Lions. Edit: That's not to say that I know ANYTHING about the club's current contract situation, so take anything I say with a sackful of salt.
  9. 1. Finals with MFC participation 2. To have more inside 50's than our opposition over the year (ranked 14th this year)* 3. Make better use of the Russian's domination of the hit-outs 4. Turn up to play at AAMI and Subiaco 5. To see more than 2 games live (personal goal only) *Interestingly enough, MFC are ranked 1st for 1%ers (but also have the most 1%ers against) and rebound 50's for 2010.
  10. Love to, but he won't. Would have to be on a massively front-ended contract, and I doubt we have that kind of space next year, especially since IIRC most of our current long(ish) contracts are front-loaded (Frawley, Davey, et.al.) I also believe that we aren't Carlton, therefore we do have established leaders in place, so I don't think that he would be a walk-up start for the captaincy. Although, in reality, it would be up to the playing group to decide. tl;dr: Maybe, yes but we can't afford it.
  11. I, for one, will be very happy when they change the advantage rule next year, and put the onus on the player. No more of this "Only a behind? Well, since you're in range you can try again," when a player misses a shot after playing on from a free.
  12. On Field: Junior. By some distance. Other than him, would agree Jamar, and also nominate Jones & Moloney (for all their flaws). Off Field: Cam Schwab & Jimmy - bringing passion back to the MFC, and increasing transparency in the Club's business side. Biggest Improvers: Watts, Dunn, McKenzie Sliders: Martin (only because he wasn't sighted. Can't comment much more than that.), Bate
  13. Probably a writer from afl.com.au. That's where this first bobbed up (to my knowledge). They're doing it for all the bottom 8 sides at the moment.
  14. 1. Jordie McKenzie 2. Not being beaten by 10 goals once 3. Lack of debt
  15. 1. The idea of a second ruckman 2. Umpires' uniforms clashing with guernseys 3. Continuing shoulder and hamstring injuries
  16. Unfortunately, Jones has 2 fractured vertebrae as well as rib damage. Sauce: - Jonesy's Twitter
  17. Nasher, is there a known cure for this disease, other than a premiership? It seems to be getting a little out of control.
  18. But the issue is that, according to all reports, Knights was happy with the state of the list and believed it could deliver a premiership. IMO this has been shown to be patently false, and therefore Knights was on the chopping block! All I can say is good luck, EFC. Couldn't care less if you fold (although the AFL will never let that happen).

  20. Dennis-Lane is ineligible, having turned 21 last year. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Jordie is overlooked yet again. As I've said before, just does what needs to be done with a minimum of fuss, and without drawing attention to himself. Junior junior indeed.
  21. Some of those frees against Junior were grade-A bullcrap, though. He would've got 4-5 for 'in the back' of which 2-3 were actually there, and were useful in holding up the play when the Roos had players free. The others were borderline at best.
  22. 6. Jurrah 5. Scully 4. Frawley 3. McKenzie 2. Green 1. Dunn

  24. Jeez, I'd go, but not because I was honoured he'd talk to me!
