  1. That'd make for an awesome club song......
  2. I heard he's holding out for Dreamworld tickets, which is causing some delay.
  3. 6 - Green 5 - Jamar 4 - Sylvia 3 - Bruce 2 - McKenzie 1 - Garland
  4. What, you'd prefer for them to wear their jumper with more red across the shoulder? Interestingly, article on afl.com.au mentions that Essendon are looking at a real clash jumper for next year. I'll be interested to see if this happens at all, or is even talked about after next weekend.
  5. Honestly, I believe that it depends when Junior gets back onto the park. Such an underrated player, but IMO it's no coincidence that early in the season when we were on fire, Junior was in tip-top form. Adds so much experience to a very young midfield (Nathan Jones is the 2nd-most experienced in there atm, and is only 22!) Other than that, I believe titan_uranus' assessment is pretty much on the money.
  6. Unfortunately, since we still need the support of the AFL coffers, we do need to bend to their whim. Let's face it, we don't have the financial base of a Collingwood or Essendon. That means that our clash jumper will be white for the forseeable future. Although, thank God for small mercies, we WILL be wearing the red and blue (without white) on Sunday. Redleg_24, the design in post #64, is clearly a standout. Loving the red and blue socks as a nod the the real jumper as well.
  7. 6. McKenzie 5. Trengove 4. Green 3. Bruce 2. Watts 1. Frawley
  8. There is no way he should get weeks for the hand slap. Johnson had already had treatment on the hand, and came back onto the field. i.e. - not injured. I don't disagree that the AFL should protect players, but it's not their job to protect players from themselves. (Which is why watching Geelong infuriates me - yes, I'm looking at you, Selwood!)
  9. Will not happen, but would like to see (based on yesterday's shocker): OUT: Rivers, Miller, Warnock IN: McDonald, Sylvia, Cheney Also, one A. Davey needs to show up this week.
  10. Easily bottom 3 this week. If he's not gone next week, we know that the match committee are looking at unrealised potential and not form.
  11. Yep. Marc Murphy could have gone to the Lions under father-son, but brown paper bags Carlton have their appeal....
  12. Well, according to this article: Cats to get two if Ablett goes north it will depend what the GC are prepared to pay. As far as MFC are concerned, invaluable. With his worth in the competition in general though, I don't think we'll be anywhere near happy with the compensation given, if , in fact, he has chosen to move (which, at this stage, is simply scuttlebutt.)
  13. Jeez......dunno which would be more embarrassing.
  14. I'm perplexed as well, as to why we didn't wear the RED version of the clash strip. Not overly happy with that, but at least it's not WHITE. If it's about shorts or socks, surely we could have those be red as well? Keep the RED AND BLUE, FFS.
  15. And who's to say he's not doing that? Unless you're a forward with the MFC, you'd have no idea what he's instructing them to do behind closed doors. With the players currently in our forward line, I think any coach would be on a hiding to nothing in that position.
  16. Rubbish. Everyone supports Rugby League up here, and only talk about the AFL if the Lions are going well. There are pockets of AFL support, but I've found them to be mostly Carlton/Collingwood fans.
  17. Really? This man wouldn't change your mind?
  18. Makes Collingwood look awful? edit: Damn. I really should refresh threads before I reply.
  19. 45HG16, you were definitely right before. If you look at the actual number of games, it only adds up to 330 (for all teams bar Port and Lions). This comes to the 10 rounds this year, + 15 22-round years. This table is for H&A games only. Just shows that when we were good, we were pretty good, but when bad, we were awful. (1997, 2003, 2007-9)
  20. That he was playing (quite well IMHO) as a tagger on Pearce?
  21. Really? You think those songs will attract supporters? We have the best song in the league. No way I'd be changing it.
  22. Well I ALWAYS gamble responsively. It's responsibly I have issues with
  23. I was puzzled by this too. Maybe the FD think he'll give away too many 'Selwood' frees. Because, let's be honest, he tackles a lot. So if a head is dropped every time he lays a tackle, that's a free kick every time.
  24. Apparently, IN: Bruce MelbourneFC Website Link
  25. Apparently she told them she worked at the AIS, could explain her being at a footy clinic? But really, as Arthur Dent has said, who gives a rat's. No legal issues, move along.
