  1. I'm calling it: Jordie McKenzie has no X-Factor. What you see is what you get. And I hope that never changes.
  2. Actually one of my preferred footballers on Twitter, at least he doesn't spout the same old NBA, FIFA, 'Get around him yeeewww' crap that the others do.
  3. The mind games have already begun. Welcome to the AFL. Good to see that the MFC are finally making themselves at home.
  4. Exactly. Barely see how it's worth a fine.
  5. Would clearly have to pay overs. Will be a very good player. At GWS. Not a chance in hell of them giving him up easily. About the only way I can see anyone else getting him in their team is to wait 7 years and pick him up as an FA. Same goes for most GWS players.
  6. Clearly the Norm Smith curse. The Red Fox couldn't stand us having a good FF that wasn't him.
  7. Don't forget, he did kick 5 in a game........ Granted, there were 'experimentations' that day, and Carlton couldn't give a fat rat's about defending, but still.
  8. FINALLY! Hopefully Beams and Sidebottom keep tearing it up! Erm, but Collingwood lose. Horribly.
  9. http://www.smartreplay.afl.com.au/?round=1097&match=10341305&videoQuality=high Start of the 2nd quarter.
  10. 6 - Jones - Keeps on keeping on. 5 - McDonald - If there's no Rising Star, there's no justice. 4 - Grimes - Midfield is his position. Lock it in. 3 - Watts - Some excellent defensive marks, needs that confidence heading into the future. 2 - Clark - If he'd stayed on the field for the whole game, would probably have been BOG. 1 - Rivers - Loving his forays up forward.
  11. Unfortunately, this team selection only highlights the awfulness of our current midfield stocks. Hard to make changes when there's no-one to come in.
  12. Let's be honest. The Fev debacle notwithstanding, Casey IS essentially an MFC reserves side. Brett Lovett as coach, playing a similar game style to the 1st's; the selected team for Casey this weekend has 5 of the back 6 and 4 of the 6 forwards as MFC listed players. And IIRC, wasn't Cook injured for much of last year, therefore rendering the Fev situation pointless?
  13. Will you also go into peoples' houses at night and wreck up the joint?
  14. Get this on the banner. Classic.
  15. Yep, I don't see Beams as more than support.
  16. Just what we need. More serious injuries to small defenders. For Barty's sake I hope it's not as bad as is being implied.
  17. No. I wouldn't be surprised if we move on quite a few at year end. Best to fill up with as much 'top-end' talent as possible. Pick 3 - Viney (let's not kid ourselves) Pick 4 - Toumpas/Stringer Pick 12 - Plowman (if he slips)/Kennedy/Mayes Surely that's mildly better than Whitfield + Viney + 4th-5th rounder? Either way, I'm sure Todd Viney will be doing all the homework, perhaps gleaning some information as a 'concerned parent' on the recent AIS tour of Europe?
  18. Add Grimes and Trengove in there and you've got yourself a deal.
  19. 6 - Rivers 5 - Grimes 4 - Watts 3 - Jones 2 - Garland 1 - Tapscott
  20. This. They won't play the kids they are sure to be stars, I'd imagine it'd be more of a "chuck the rest in and see what they can do" before they have to cull the list.
  21. Just quietly, the game can't be all that easy in the Melbourne back line at the moment.....
  22. 6 - Jones 5 - McKenzie 4 - Rivers 3 - McDonald 2 - Blease 1 - Grimes Honorable Mentions - Bail, Nicholson and Green.
  23. And you'll note that most of us have not said he was either way. The only way to know is to stick true until the players eventually understand the way Neeld wants them to play. (Which, as I've said before, is taking altogether too long, IMO, but that's for a different thread.)
  24. To me it says: make sure you draft a couple of gun midfielders from the pointy end of the draft.
  25. At least the players will hold up their end of the deal, arm in arm with the opposition.
