Results of Club Reviews
A 'Member Engagement Committee' at board level. Hopefully they will give the comms department the rocket they need. Perhaps Russell Howcroft to be engaged as a consultant? Would be crazy not to ask.

PRESEASON 2025: Training Times
Surely we'd be able to pick up @old dee as a Cat B rookie?

The Harry Armstrong Thread
It took me a little while to realise you were talking about Luke Jackson here. Was about to say that LJ was well before JT's time - fairly sure he did have a chance, but chose against it

Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
"Officially"? So Tom Morris is now a font of wisdom? How quickly the whims of Demonland change......

Delistings 2024
Opens again next Friday, and runs for a week. Not sure there will be much interest there, as clubs can wait for the draft and pick them up late, or wait for the supplementary period

Cats Set for More Games at The Cattery
Not only should they play 11 games down there, it should be rotated so that EVERY club plays down there at least once every 2 years. Fat chance of that happening, though

Coaching Role for Jonesy?
Would love for this to happen, West Coast would be mad to not hold on to her for the long term

NON-MFC: Trade Talk
Nope, unfortunately. Nobody blinked and he went to his preferred club without the Saints getting anything in return. Hopefully the Saints this time look to get some back.

Godspeed to the mods with this thread this afternoon.

Dan Houston
Hopefully we're involved in the background of a few deals in order to move up the draft order. The true hope is that we're under the radar for the majority of the week, but end up with a decent draft hand, that we can even use to our advantage under the pressure environment of draft night.

I'm just glad it's no longer us

How Chris Scott differs from other AFL coaches
He 100% inherited the first one. In looking at other things, I saw that the Cats won by a total of 336 points over two weeks in Scott's first season at the helm.

How Chris Scott differs from other AFL coaches
Only because the AFL move them to bigger grounds against the 'big 4'. Carlton last played at Kardinia in 2020. Richmond hadn't played there for 7 years before this year. Essendon only played a non-COVID game there for the first time since 1993 last year (EDIT: it was still 28 years between games for them). Collingwood last played there in Round 15, 1999.

How Chris Scott differs from other AFL coaches
Ross Lyon is the most overrated coach in the AFL. How he didn't win a flag with the St. Kilda team he had is beyond belief. His results with Freo and Saints now are actually speaking volumes.

2024 Phantom Drafts
I think we did alright with Viney

Wade Derksen
It's not, but that's neither here nor there. We overpaid for McAdam. That's in the past, and we have to move on. Pick 25 for Nibbler is probably about correct, but I wouldn't be surprised if we shuffle some later picks to benefit Adelaide as well.

Training Ground?
......and if it is, it will be a great day and you'll have many a whisky to celebrate?

2024 Trade Radio
They've gotta pay for Purple waxing lyrical with little to no connection to reality somehow.

5 Young Dees Re-Sign
Given we're more than likely adding 5+ players to the list this year anyway, gives us some flexibility for next year. Also, it allows us to see what Kentfield can do after an AFL level preseason. Verrell HAS to be there, as Farris-White has been delisted, Fullarton is a non-starter, and Schache has retired. Sestan is probably the most contentious one, however given his work ethic, I see no harm in it at all.
