  1. Agreed 100%. I've found in the past, I've always been keen on the flashy mid/fwd player early, (Bontempelli, Stringer, etc.) but my favourite player is the hardworking back pocket/inside mid (Jetta, Viney, Oliver). In Taylor we trust. That's why he gets paid via those huge novelty checks.
  2. Shame we can't package up pick #97 and [insert scapegoat player here] for a 2nd-rounder.
  3. What the goddamn hell?
  4. But will he crack in and have a crack?
  5. Please don't.
  6. @Supermercado would be over the moon. I wouldn't hate it either.
  7. Go on then..... We'd all be on the "Draft Andy" train!
  8. I dunno, if Viney slightly bumped me with his little finger I would probably go down harder. That other bloke is only human, after all....
  9. I feel that given the public have been given the chance to vote on Jabby's medal, surely we get to vote on McKernan's medal from 1996 as well. In addition to ANY decision outlawing the fairest player in any given season....
  10. This is late, I know, but we gave up pick 2 last year for Petracca, and he won't be seen until at least half way through this year.......
  11. That does look good. It's also good to acknowledge that my sense of schadenfreude outweighs my hatred for the filth. My, what would WYL think......
  12. This just reminds me of how hard we won the 2012 trade week. Even if we did get in Chris Dawes and Dom Barry. Hogan, plus Viney at pick 26. About the only thing done properly at MFC from 2008- mid 2013.
  13. Really? Brad Green doesn't strike me as that kind of fellow.
  14. Watts would be 3rd man up at best. He is not suited to the ruck position (quasi or genuine) at all.
  15. Whilst $400k sounds like a lot now, bear in mind that the average player salary is now only about $360k. This takes into account the first and second year players, as well as rookies, who are on well below $200k. Given the new TV rights deal, I think that $1.6m over four years will be a standard contract for a player on the cusp of the best 22 who is essentially depth at about the midpoint of the mooted contract period. Yes, this sounds like a lot to the standard supporter, but when the big picture is taken into account, it's really chump change compared to the sycophants at AFL House, who take on nowhere near the risk the players do.
  16. Looks like they took my suggestion seriously....
  17. You know he's an Essendon player, right? Pick 10 + 6 years of development in the Essendon calculator works out as our 1st and 2nd round picks + Angus Brayshaw.
  18. Would be remiss if they weren't.
  19. Isn't that a good thing? No longer leaking like a sieve to anyone who will listen.
  20. Well, he's planted the seed of the idea already..... Be prepared for some Demonland favourites to be cut adrift......
  21. How [censored] poor is it that 2 years into the rebuild of a rebuild of a rebuild, the delisting/trade thread is at 86 pages with 2 rounds still to play. An absolute indictment on this club and playing group.
  22. So again, why is Jeremy Howe worth more?
