  1. Agreed 100%. I've found in the past, I've always been keen on the flashy mid/fwd player early, (Bontempelli, Stringer, etc.) but my favourite player is the hardworking back pocket/inside mid (Jetta, Viney, Oliver). In Taylor we trust. That's why he gets paid via those huge novelty checks.
  2. Shame we can't package up pick #97 and [insert scapegoat player here] for a 2nd-rounder.
  3. But will he crack in and have a crack?
  4. @Supermercado would be over the moon. I wouldn't hate it either.
  5. Despite many posters, including me, being into him pre the 2013 draft - no way, never, not on your Nellie. Not only delisted by Collingwood, but delisted by the Saints. A powerhouse at VFL level, but nothing beyond that.
  6. Go on then..... We'd all be on the "Draft Andy" train!
  7. With a heavy heart, will give his season a passing mark.
  8. Agree with @McQueen, #destinationpodcast But seriously, when is the Roos/Jones statue being erected?
  9. Literally the best deal the Swans have ever done.
  10. Get him in - next year's third rounder should do the deal
  11. Was one of the few who weren't terrible that day.
  12. Daniel Cross. Pumped up by Roos in the Demonland interview as absolutely essential to the culture they were building around the club. 5th in the B&F and best clubman in his first year here. Free Agent. Sure, not the most flashy of deals (in terms of $$$, 'superstars', contract lengths), but for mine, a free agency steal.
  13. I dunno, if Viney slightly bumped me with his little finger I would probably go down harder. That other bloke is only human, after all....
  14. #13 becoming a modern classic. Jako, Ooze, Jordie and now Clarry. (Not to mention Ivan Bartul in 1995)
  15. One reason I can see is that the FD see good things in Maynard and are keen to select him as the 'designated rookie' able to be selected from round 1. I'm sure those more across the rules than I am can offer further insights, but that's how I saw the situation.
  16. Fair enough. I apologise for my (admittedly ridiculous) attempt to score internet points.
  17. Which was traded to them, by us, along with Kyle Cheney, for the pick that drafted TMac.
  18. Thanks Col. Will always remember the night in 2010 when you and Chip absolutely monstered Fev and Browny at the Gabba. Also THAT night against Essendon, deep in the pits of despair. I'm glad you're continuing your footy journey with Melbourne, may it be long and prosperous. This one really hits home as a changing of the guard. Trengove, Watts, Spencer (to a lesser extent), and now Judy. Hopefully the next chapter is a lot brighter.
