I felt Tom showed he had the makings of a very good footballer today, I feel he can develop into a very versatile player,a pich hit ruckman , however a Centre half back seems his go.

I tend to agree- 2 first round picks to me sounds very rewarding for the club for exchange of Scully.

Congrats to Dappa & D/L7..got beaten by just plain bad luck..in the end by one tackle and without my star player Sam Mitchell not playing whom averages at least 5 tackles a game. I agree- but Petterd has good upside and shows flexibility.A huge pre season wouldn't go astray.

When we look at the comments made towards Jack Watts originally and the query re was he worth a No1 pick and will he make it- one really has to compare him at No1 & Gumbleton at No3 when Essendon picked him up and one must state JW was an outstanding recruit.Although Gumbleton has had many injuries he seems to never get his body right.Too big a risk IMO.

It is fantastic to see him play but the timing in such as critical match for positioning in the finals leaves me a little puzzled. Just hope Fev rises to the occassion and shuts up a few more Demonlanders whom are negative towards him.

Agree fully- And Gee with another athletic tall in the backline it really makes our defence in 2012,one that looks better than just ok. It may also allow Garland to play on a wing which I feel he is more suited to.

I hope Royal was only placed on a 1 year contract so he can be shown the door after an outburst like last weekend.

We really should mould ourselves on them and gain a current or ex member of Catland as a senior assistant coach--someone like Sanderson or even Egan would be worth a try. A defensive coach is a critical appointment IMO.

I think it is fantastic that Ross Lyon's name has even been raised. It came out of left field which is great- at least we are looking at every resource which can coach. The placement of senior coach is probably the most important decision in nearly it's whole history in particular with the young developing list on offer.
