I don't think Roos would say anything like that unless we were already in serious talks with one or two A+ graders. I agree that Aish and Prestia are more B+ Two A+ who we know are out of contract are Treloar and Dangerfield. We have been amassing a war chest for a few years now and are primed to pick up someone big. Dangerfield has connections to Goodwin and Vince and Treloar to old mates Tyson and Frost. Despite media speculation linking them to Geelong and Collingwood, we just may make a huge offer that can't be trumped. The only other option is that we are talking to someone who is not in the trading speculation and out of left field like a Josh Kennedy.

I Guess Gawn is starting to prove the doubters wrong and ending the debate that we are desperate for a good ruckman, when we have an excellent young ruckmeister right under our nose.

Why indeed, especially when we cannot afford to be complacent. It's a lesson we still have to learn , we have to work harder to earn respect. We absolutely have to go hell for leather untill the game is no longer in doubt.

Believe or not in hindsight we may gone into this game a bit cocky and didn't turn up the intensity untill the last quarter when it was too late.

Frost seems to be the missing link here that third tall who can run and play forward or back.

Stats wise he is right but there's more to this game than just stats. We've beaten good sides in Bulldogs, Richmond and Geelong and we are not a bottom side anymore,you just have to watch us play to see we are more middle tier that's getting its act together. We've had some rotten luck with Petracca ,and other injuries to Frost Kent Trengove etc.., and guys like Daniher and Cloke decide to put their kicking boots on when they played us. We should have had at least another two more wins to this stage and a fool can see we are a lot more competitive. The stats are also false in that every other team has also improved bar the couple at the bottom. It's also a mental thing with the opposition where if they play us they still think of us as what we were in the past, very beatable, and they have belief they will beat us going into the contest. We need a run of wins to start to build a reputation, and it will come. To say the next two weeks are extremely important in our development is an understatement.

Why not try Dawes down back and McDonald up forward "..just swap them, Dawes doesn't have to mark or kick goals just get to contests and punch, could work.

They had the best forward on the ground and at the end of the day that won it for them.

Why do these key forwards who have ordinary games against everyone else always fire against us?

Howe is an offensive forward and Will never be anything else. Can only be played at half forward or forward pocket. Doesn't chase or run enough to be a defensive forward or to play in defence.
