I love how there are not many changes to the NAB cup squad. Mostly mature players with developed bodies, really sends a message that you have to have some pretty good consistent performances to break into the team , and that we want to be ready round one to field a strong bodied experienced side against the youngish Suns.

The intensity of the Dees Freo game was a lot higher, but every game is different, and the Dogs were playing with low intensity in the first half and we made the most of it.....I take more out of the Freo game, but you can only play who is out there against you on the day.

Just happy to have a win.....no doubt we are a work in progress, and additions of Vince, Howe and maybe a Brayshaw will improve us again. Wasn't rapt with McKenzie and Bail, thought Grimes ,Garland and Toumpas were better Vandenberg copped a knock early and we know he can provide more when 100% Salem will be a revelation this year Only Vineys first hit out, so he will improve. Tyson just keeps on performing.

Frosty is a monty for round one. I'm also loving how Garlett and Lumumba are fitting into the side.....real contributors all three of them.

I hope they are targeting a Treloar or someone of that ilk, if Danger is out of the equation.

This latest fiasco with Hird trying to get away with playing some of his better players with Williamstown and not in the NAB cup is ludicrous....they just keep shooting themselves in the foot...can't stand the cheats.

A really good hit out for the boys, Playing a top four contender at home is not an easy task, and we matched it with them for a lot of the game, resting Jetta and Newton in the second half who were two of our better players. We have also unearthed five new players who will be regulars and improve the team in Newton,Vandenberg,Frost,Lumumba ,and Garlett.....then there's Hogan. I'm feeling excited about the year ahead.

Thought Dunn was ordinary today.....Gawn was better than Jamar.

I'd like to see Fitzy and Spencer in for Jamar and Pederson in the next game,also love to see Brayshaw and Stretch in for M.Jones and Michie,Viney for Bail.
