- Training Ground?

What did he say specifically that you disagree with though? You might prefer one commentator over another which is fine but length of time out of the game is not a singular metric you can rely on to say "this person's comments are worthless" which is effectively what you're saying. Someone who has never played at the highest level may be one of the most insightful people to listen to whereas a current player/coach may actually have little idea. It's just a meaningless throwaway line to say "he's been out of the game too long what would he know".- Garry Lyon analysis
By that reasoning no one other than recent ex-players can comment.- Garry Lyon analysis
One of these three need to be moved forward of the ball. No point getting good kicks to half forward then [censored] the bed inside 50.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
At half time Gus was interviewed coming off the ground - he made a comment along the lines of they were happy with the forward structure and the way they were handling the ball inside 50 and that it was just a conversion issue. He said eventually the goals will come. This so wrong it's not funny but it's obviously the message communicated by the coaches. The inaccuracy is caused by our forward structure, ball movement etc! The goals won't just magically start to happen because we are back to playing a brand of footy that makes it impossible to score (long bombs inside 50, congested forward half etc)- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
You can blame anb but the fish rots at the head - Max drops another chest mark, stuffs around with it in the middle after getting a free kick when we're down with 3 minutes left, then tries to dribble through a goal from a boundary throw in instead of handing it off. I said it in the game day thread but have a team of low footy IQ players, one of the few on our list who is a natural (JVR) gets dropped- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS

JVR was one of the few to actually play to the conditions against Geelong. He has great footy IQ, has shown he can turn it on with 3 final quarter goals against the Tigers and has only played around 10 games. If they're resting him fine but if it's form related they're out of their heads.- PREGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS

Van Rooyen was one of the only players smart enough to play to the conditions and you want him back to casey? For who? Give me a spell. Some favourites should be on the chopping block and be nervous about their positions after that insipid performance but they won't be because they know it'll be the same blokes getting dropped again.- GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs Geelong

Exactly they are a mid table team at best this year, this is slightly above the Essendon loss for our worst performance of the year. Our players pick and choose when they can be bothered, with the talent they have on the list it is infuriating that they are letting it go to waste. We should be dominating the competition but we are looking like also rans- GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs Geelong
