  1. I think they might sneak into the 8 but no way they have a run like last year especially with Suns, Blues and Port pushing back towards finals.
  2. Nah but his desk is
  3. Especially with our history of foot injuries. Just get it right before he returns.
  4. Including Anzac Eve?
  5. This is a classic game from 1989 - 4 rounds after being smashed by Geelong by 69 points at a mud packed MCG where we kicked 2.8.20 for the whole game we beat them by 3 points at Waverley! Check out some of the efforts of Garry Lyon in the last quarter and a bit including a monster torp goal to the right of screen reminiscent of his one against the Blues in the 88 Prelim.
  6. These ones are a little bit deeper in the vault but I love the history of the game (and club) and I hope some others might find it as interesting as I do. This is a replay of the final quarter of our win over the Pies at Vic Park in 1968.
  7. Snippets from our 1956 Olympic Premiership
  8. Some snippets from our 1955 Premiership (misnamed as 1956 in the video title)
  9. If it has a barcode on it you should be able to use it to scan in
  10. Not sure might have to check with Ticketmaster/MFC
  11. Depends which games but generally yes behind the goals Punt Rd end and maybe forward pocket southern stand same end? Half the ground is MCC/AFL members and most of the rest of level is reserved members seating. If we're playing North or GWS you can sit anywhere, Collingwood it Richmond you'll be up on level 4. Edit - and there's always standing room on level 1.
  12. We will still be set up with Gawn, Grundy, May, Lever, Petty and probably Brayshaw to intercept any dump kicks coming out of our forward line. A defender looking up kicking out of our attacking 50 will have to make a smart split second decision or risk turning it over. This is also predicated on forward 50 pressure from ANB, Spargo, Kozzie and our kids helping out like they did in 2021. This element was off in 2022 which allowed teams to rebound quicker/smarter out of our forward line.
  13. https://mcc.org.au/mcc-reserve/mcc-museum AUSTRALIAN SPORTS MUSEUM AND THE MCC MUSEUM The MCC Museum forms an integral part of the Australian Sports Museum experience on non-MCG event days, where ticket purchasers will be able to access the MCC Museum from within the Australian Sports Museum. Follow the signage when browsing the Cricket Gallery inside the Australian Sports Museum to discover the MCC Museum.
  14. There's a schedule of radio appearances on this page - very interested to hear what Charlie Spargo has to say, can't imagine him getting too excited about anything 😂 https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1280431/dees-radio-takeover-celebrating-membership-deal
  15. Last time we played them there we were up 11 goals at half time.
  16. 11 more sleeps to go 😈💙❤️
  17. I'm not expecting him to play before the bye - better to get him right fitness/energy wise for a crack at the finals than bring him back underdone.
  18. Disappointed but not surprised. Whatever, hopefully he hasn't been dropped and is playing Anzac Eve when we belt them again.
  19. Correlation does not equal causation! Get along to the games Azzkika and layzie it's safe for you to record them now 🤣
  20. Is he the bald one? Still upset with Maxy for belting the ball away at the centre bounce all those years back??
  21. And give up the chance to go 7-1??
  22. And the supporters od. Let's rip that monkey off the back this year.
  23. Commentators didn't even pick it up. Apparently was "fantastic use of the body" by Martin. Well, I guess the hands are part of the body 🤷🏽
  24. Seems like really poor/desperate decision making to me. You just can't take in half a dozen underdone/injured players into a final. One or two you might be lucky and get away with it but 5 or 6? Nah Doesn't really make sense long term either - so Maxy plays the SF and we scrape home, what are the chances he gets up for the Prelim? We torched Brisbane during H&A without Gawn with Jackson playing one of his best games for the club. Hindsight and all that but hopefully the coaches and match committee have learnt from their mistakes.
