In addition to Gold Coast, I reckon Essendon players may be ripe for the picking and they will probably want draft picks while going through a rebuild. Obviously some of them you wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole due to impending WADA sanctions but I reckon we should have a crack at Zaharakis. Is quick, can win the ball and can kick goals. If someone like Prestia/Treloar is out of the question I wouldn't mind going after Zaharakis - surely someone like him would want out of that place.

Pace is also great for applying pressure on the other team. Their defensive efforts against Geelong and the Dogs were good and I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of them keep their spot this week (more likely M Jones).

You can't survive being so one dimensional anymore - you need to apply pressure to lock the ball in our forward line and/or offer something running through the midfield while our A-midfield has a rest. He does neither.

If Hird doesn't get sacked this week and he has truly lost the players this could be a great opportunity to get some revenge. It will be a massive blow to lose Brayshaw though, that kids been phenomenal.

Unless the AFL create a fair fixture where we have a chance at turning a profit on games (for instance home games against Carlton and Essendon more than once every 6 years) instead of home games against 7 of the 8 non-Vic clubs every year we have no realistic option. In fact, we'd probably be better off selling another 2 games to NT to pocket an extra million and send our games against GWS, Freo, Port and WCE there every year.
