  1. If you win you skip week 2 of the finals
  2. Oh my god, you're that guy huh?
  3. So if we can get 20k people to the G they'll let us play the Prelim there should we be hosting? I doubt it, it seems like there's one rule being discussed for the Cats and another for us.
  4. So that same theory means if we finish top 2 we get to name the ground, regardless of capacity?
  5. As above if Geelong can choose to play in Geelong because of no crowds surely that means we get to play at the G without crowds if we finish top 2?
  6. If there will be no finals at the G due to no crowds why would there be a final in Geelong?
  7. Hawkins misses from dead in front 😲 Saints could be on here
  8. I don't get it
  9. And then once Tassie members hold a majority they will just vote to fully relocate the team to Tassie. Whyw ould you do that if you're North? To be honest I think North are in a better financial situation than the Saints these days, don't know why they're always the first one to be named for relocation. Tassie becomes 19th team - then a 20th team from NT (split games between Darwin/Alice/Cairns).
  10. The thought of Melbourne breaking the drought anywhere bar the G especially if I can't go is seriously starting to make me feel sick 🤮
  11. They got a fair chunk handed to them by Howard as well if I remember correctly
  12. Riccardi showed a bit in his first few games, might be worth having a crack at him over another mid like Green
  13. Moving on from Murphy, Betts, Casboult and Ed Curnow could clear some cap space?
  14. Didn't they turf his brother out for releasing Bulldogs gameplan info to Daniel? Would be weird if he ended up at the Dogs after that.
  15. Throw the book at these two twats. They think they're above the law while most others are trying to do the right thing they selfishly flout the governments directions and put us all in jeopardy. Sick of it, lock them up.
  16. Yeah if Joel Smith is named on the extended bench ahead of him it's not looking great
  17. Neville Jetta too, feel sorry for those two guys.
  18. Indigenous history/culture should be a mandatory education subject throughout primary and secondary school.
  19. It also depends on the context - one of my close mates calling me a wog I find hilarious. If it comes from moron at the pub or down the street then it takes on a different meaning.
  20. Politicians are driven by the news cycle, focus groups and the next election because all they are worried about is getting re-elected. The citizenry is dominated by self-interest which is why politicians appeal to that. Self-interest is bred from being fearful, lazy and uneducated. It's a vicious cycle.
  21. Free speech does not mean you can say what you want. With freedom comes responsibility and if your speech impacts on the freedoms of another or contributes to the victimisation, oppression etc of a cohort in society then it likely falls under hate speech which should not be allowed in a civil society. This is particularly true when you are discriminating against a group based on a characteristic they have no control over (eg gender, race, sexual orientation). There are extremely good historical reasons for this although @Cranky Franky might be uncomfortable receiving a history lesson. This does not mean you cannot criticise - I criticise religion all the time. But I don't criticise one particular religion above others, I think they are all outdated.
  22. Putting a percentage on it is fraught with danger however I will say that there is a clear undercurrent of racism that is embedded in our culture.
  23. Agree however just a point - racism isnt just being called names. It's the systematic dismantling of your culture over centuries including massacres, genocide etc and the continuing policies in government and other organisations that reinforce the oppression.
  24. Caroline Wilson added that the AFL CEOs were almost unanimous in wanting the finals to be played in front of crowds, regardless of home ground advantage. “That question was put to the 18 club CEOs yesterday and all but one said if you can’t have a crowd, you can’t play it at the MCG. Interestingly, Gary Pert the CEO of Melbourne said we would rather play at the MCG, crowd or no crowd,” Wilson said. Why ask 18 CEO's? Of course the ones who aren't competing would go with finals wherever they have crowds, there not competing and are looking solely at the bottom line. They should have no say.
  25. They also got pumped by Carlton the week before
