Who is winning it then? Geelong who just scraped past Port? Brisbane who lost to Essendon a couple of weeks back? Freo who drew with Richmond last night? Collingwood who just scraped past North and Adelaide in successive weeks? Carlton who still look a year away and have fallen at most challenges they've faced this year? Sydney who have been flakey and up and down all year? There are no dominant teams this year. Yeah we haven't performed to the level you'd hope and have been inconsistent across games but we still have the star power to turn it on in September. Obviously this is not to say we will but we will give ourselves a crack. To say we are just making up the numbers is insulting.

I agree but 13 marks inside 50 may have contributed to that. That seems pretty high for us so less chances for our small forwards to apply that pressure on the ground ball. Still would like to see some tackles inside 50 though obviously.

I was ropeable with the umpiring and furious that we lost. It wasn't just because of the umpires but seriously how was it HTB against Viney plus several others who were tackled as soon as they took possession? What happened to prior? The main reason I was so angry was because I just didn't want to lose to that mob, I wanted us to have the wood over them mentally but they've got one back now. On reflection we really would've won had Pickett kicked truly from 45 out directly in front or Petraccas snap rolled onto the other side of the post. Not sure what the next month holds but we really need to win next week now to keep in the race for a home qualifying final.

No. We kicked 16 goals against Brisbane and only one from Brown. We generally have a spread of goalkickers, it is rare we have one player kicking a bag.
