  1. Didn't he deck Barrett in the toilets at the Brownlow a few years back? Classic case of short man syndrome. He did learn under Clarkson. So did Hardwick for that matter - hmm I'm sensing a pattern here.
  2. What an [censored] how is it the journos fault? Perhaps figure out who is leaking inside your club mate
  3. Tinkering with personnel due to injury is different to tinkering with our structure I think. Moving Brayshaw to half back impacts our wings as well rather than just bringing in another defender.
  4. Similar to the reviews undertaken at Geelong in 2006 and Richmond in 2016. Hopefully ours bears at least as much fruit as those two did.
  5. Hmm so Brayshaw to defence and Jordon to the wing. Seems like they have Jordon earmarked for a wing position so will be interesting how it plays out, not sure I like tinkering so much when we already have 3 premiership defenders missing and Brayshaw was crucial on the wing in two games against the Dogs last year.
  6. Not just the GF blowout. They were lucky to get over Brisbane in the Semi and dropped games to Hawks and Bombers in the run home to cost themselves top 4. They also got blown out of the water by the Tigers in the second half earlier last year and we touched them up in that Docklands game too. When the pressure goes up they tend to go missing. Bruce is also a huge out for them structurally and they don't have JUH/Darcy ready yet to step in. When they were in top in the GF it was largely due to winning the ground ball inside 50 (goals to Treloar X3, Naughton, Bont). If our mids bring the pressure and don't let Bont, Macrae, Treloar off the hook I'm fairly confident we have their measure. Hope I'm not eating these words in 24 hours haha
  7. @binmanwwell you were right about Smith, can't say I understand it but can't argue with facts. I should've known better than to question your judgement 😂
  8. That's what I reckon too. Their mids are the obvious strength but their rucks are suss, their defense isn't great (although they have some decent rebound) and their key forwards are slim pickings. To win they'll be relying on goals out of their mids and small forwards like Weightman and JJ. If we turn up I think we win handily even given our backline.
  9. [censored] I love Viney 🥰🥰🥰
  10. I hope these get digitised by the SLV one day like the Footy records have been. Anyone know if they take requests on this sort of thing?
  11. Excellent, can't wait to watch this tonight. The build up to round 1 has been fantastic, can't wait for tomorrow night.
  12. They still don't like the pressure/hard ball just like last year against the Tigers, against us in the first game, the GF. Win the post clearance contested possession and keep their small forwards accountable and we win I think.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a point to prove but we have a real chance to destroy them psychologically and I hope we take it
  14. Loving your series of pods mate I've listened to almost all of them so far 👍
  15. Yep Robbie in the goalsquare I think Yeats and Eishold missed sitters too and maybe one or two others. Plus the free against Grinter that led to the 15m penalty for Stynes. We were out on our feet though, Carlton would have obliterated us the following week in 33 degree weather and Robbie would've missed the game. Might have held us in better stead for 88 but maybe not, who knows?
  16. Well there is a group of Christian nutters at wce (look at the doco on the 2020 season with their pre-game prayer groups etc) so it is a possibility
  17. It's not just about how sick he will get but whatever.
  18. His mother in law is apparently a renowned anti vaxxer, I doubt it's got anything to do with religious beliefs of that nature
  19. For those with AFL Memberships there was an email earlier this week saying that the new ticketing system for AFL members where you sign in to the AFL app and scan the barcode at the gates to get in without a reserved seat will NOT be available for round 1 as they aren't sure the system is ready yet. Any AFL members attending round 1 MUST have a reserved seat and they gave us a barcode in the email to upgrade to a reserved seat for free (usually $9). You will be able to scan in to the AFL members area with the barcode on your phone from round 2 onwards. Not sure what this means for club members or MCC members though.
  20. I doubt it would have anything to do with Jackson. Melbourne has shown they can wheel and deal with picks at the trade table, they probably backed themselves to bundle picks, trade up etc to get a top 10 pick for him.
  21. No wonder its taken so long! If it doesn't get signed off before the election forget about an announcement this year I'd say. And hopefully no change of government which could reset the whole thing.
  22. In the post GF delirium I kind of lost track with anything other than the flag celebrations. I assume Bont isn't playing next week after being rubbed out for his head high hit on Clarry in the GF?
  23. Because their ticketing system is a joke and isn't ready yet!
