  1. Thanks for posting od. Just on this comment that "the players love Casey" - it's not necessarily the current players I'm worried about but how it might be a disadvantage in recruiting players from other clubs. If it's between us and Collingwood, Carlton, Footscray, Essendon even Saints, what is the more lucrative location? Obviously there may be other reasons players choose to come to us and creating a great environment is key but at the end of the day all other things being equal it will set us at a disadvantage.
  2. It's not just the travel. if we play Geelong at the G we probably get 40k-50k - maybe 60k at a stretch. Collingwood and Richmond are almost guaranteed 80k and could push 90k.
  3. "Murdoch tabloid" is even being kind, I just refer to it as the LNP/coal lobby Pravda with some Harvey Norman ads on every other page.
  4. It's not just how many members it's how many people turn up to the games.
  5. What will come first the reply email or the training ground? ðŸĪĢ
  6. Those numbers are for Victoria only right? Pretty sure WCE, Adel etc get every game on FTA in their home state.
  7. This is absolutely outrageous and I am disappointed the club didn't push back on the AFL to demand a proper bye. I can't see any other club so far that has less than a 12 day break and some club's have a 15 day break. Geelong play Thurs June 15 so have a 7 day break leading into our game only 3 days less than us and we have a bye!!! Nevermind the fact we have to play in Geelong again, sick of playing there every single [censored] year
  8. So when is the fixture actually going to be released? Before the new year?
  9. Kardinia Park unavailable first half of the season
  10. Maybe but we were tipped to contend in 2019 too. Hopefully they have a down year before rebounding like a few teams before them (us 2019, Richmond 2016, Geelong 2006)
  11. Link please 😊
  12. Umpires crucifying us
  13. You know it will be both
  14. NFL

    Bills Bucs Ravens
  15. Why should the fixture be compromised because Geelong can't use their ground in the 1st half of the year? When the Suns couldn't play home games due to the Commonwealth Games a couple of years back they had to play a home game in Fremantle yet Geelong wants 9 games at KP on the 2nd half of the season? Get stuffed.
  16. It's here to stay because the AFL included it as part of its media rights it signed off a couple of months back.

    KC, Philly, Commies
  18. And one more meaningless Home and Away game, a hindrance for players worried about injury heading into the finals
  19. It's a neutral round, so club's still get 11 home, 11 away games plus 1 neutral game Oh except for Adelaide and Port who now get 12 home games ðŸĪŠ
  20. Pretty sure channel 7 and Foxtel would've loved the idea when the AFL told them about an extra round of games just prior to signing off on the new tv rights a couple of months back.
  21. It's been 2 or 3 years now where we keep getting told "there will be news on this soon". If there's nothing in the coming months I seriously doubt anything will come of it at all.

A tough tough week for the road teams! I'll take Falcons, Cowboys, Saints
