  1. Watts has more talent in his left pinkie than any dogs defender.I don't measure his output just on goals. He has other rolls which he failed to fulfil yesterday. I would hate to be running out of defence with watts as my only option.
  2. No he wasn't. Whilst Green wasn't my favourite Demon, he was never soft. His change was more in terms of style rather than mindset. I get a little irritated when I hear/read that he was soft.Watts was very ordinary yesterday. Lovely kick but as others have pointed out, his overall game was without intensity and intent. For those that thought his game was good yesterday, ask yourself how a player with elite speed could never get separation on the lead? It's a reflection of his overall game.
  3. Great! It won't be so hard to convince my 3 and 6 year old nieces to support the Dees with 'Tinker' floating around the forward line.
  4. He spoke well at the lunch on Saturday. Certainly had a steely resolve about him which I found pleasantly surprising. If the rumour is true, I am pretty happy.
  5. Strauss should be known as Titanic Deck Chair # 1A. In this case the Tiitanic is already residing at the bottom of the ocean.
  6. Maybe they should've. The may rue that decision at 5pm Saturday.
  7. Yuck.Thought Davis may have been a sneaky chance but perhaps we are banking on Pedo making a fool of North for trading him. Unlikely though.
  8. No it couldn't. Jamar would only have currency for a team on the cusp of the top 4 and requiring depth in the ruck. EG Collingwood
  9. I am suffering a major case of 'withdrawal'. When is Spencil clear to play? I dream of a team (not Casey) with Spencil, Gawn and Frisky Fitzy all running around. Blease for Rodan is good. I reckon we left Byrnes in to teach him a lesson about the Geelong style of play.
  10. For a second there I thought you were saying that you still had Garry's lunch money from grade 3. I was going to blame Garry's inability to choose a coach on your bullying in primary school. And his bad back.
  11. There was a bloke at the presidents lunch who kept winking and telling anyone who would listen that, "we got our man". He was in no way connected to the club on a professional level and was completely wasted by the time I spoke to him. Maybe he is sportsbet's source?
  12. 3 with an early plea. Challenge. Stevie J had more intent, Simpkins flat our whacked a bloke and Embley kneed a guy on the ground. All of them got less than Spencil. I am outraged. Change the Demonland banner to, 'Save Jake'.
  13. This kid is on the lower end of the huge list of problems currently facing the club. Carry on with your improvement, Dean.
  14. I will be there...... As this seems like our most likely chance of a victory in Melbourne, perhaps the shock late inclusions of Clark, Grimes and Viney are necessary. We could drop them into the ground with a helicopter an hour before the bounce..... Clark wearing a sumo suit to prevent any further injuries, Grimes in a giant inflatable bubble and Viney sporting tissue boxes for footy boots.
  15. I hope so. His lack of explosiveness and top end speed worry more than any 'squibbing' that may be going on. I understand he had hip surgery and needs to spend time physically developing but with his skill set, speed would be helpful.
  16. I am sure Matt Jones will improve but his decision makings is at times diabolical.
  17. What? It's not a criticism, just an observation. Here is another observation. A majority of your posts do more harm than good to your 'cause'.
  18. Maybe they were laughing at what Russell was wearing...... I spoke to Don and he seemed like he always is, vanilla.
  19. Watts was below par. Anyone who thinks his 1st half was good is well off the mark. I know for a fact he received some pretty frank criticism regarding his attack on the ball during the 1st half. I watched him pretty closely yesterday and he NEVER takes the responsibility of leading to the dangerous areas as a forward. Numerous times yesterday he had 2 options: 1: Take the responsibility and lead to the open side of the ground. This could potentially result in a shot at goal from a good position but it requires the forward to lead hard and with purpose in a similar vein to Clark. There is potential for collision and injury but a genuine footy player would see that opportunity, realise the potential pay off and go for it. 2: Double back to an area where players from both sides were already situated, engage in a 'wrestle' for position and watch as the ball is taken away by Hawthorn defenders without Watts impacting the contest. Which one do you think Watts chose? Watts' flaws are well known here but I have never seen a player choose to fail so readily.
  20. He isn't our problem. Ask yourself, if you were a free agent key defender would you choose to play for a team where the midfield will get slaughtered weekly? He is at a hiding to nothing.
  21. McDonald is in awful form. Pitiful. He should be dropped. I lost count of the times his mistakes lead to a shot at goal by the opposition. He seems to be getting a fair run by Neeld due to his strong pre-season, current form be damned. I really hate our coaching staff.
