  1. All that list tells me is that a lot of clubs don’t have a lot of A-Grade talent in the midfield. Sure GC, Bears etc have outstanding talent in the engine room but most other lists consist of players that are B-Grade at best in 2025. I don’t see our midfield as the problem for 2026. It will all depends on what we do in transition and with ball in hand to kick a winning score. That involves players on every line.
  2. Was my favourite player but I’ve moved on. The more you hear about his antics, the more you realise he had to leave. Will be interesting to see how long he can change his spots for. I’m hoping he can do a Jesse type turnaround. interestingly there were two former bulldogs hanging together over the past week ‘reminiscing’ about the good old days. It’s easy enough to figure out who they are on socials. Those two leopards clearly haven’t changed their spots.
  3. Great pics. The pic of Kozz and Chin flying for the mark is great. 2 favourite players. Almost like the Gate Keeper and the Key Master getting together for me! The sequence of Windsor chasing Kozzy should be a case study. Kozzy is always balanced, even at speed, assessing options and his ball drop is perfect. I said at the end of 2023 that he’d be our best player by end of 2025. He might not be our best just yet but he is by far our most important player structurally. The other sequence of his which is a terrific teaching tool is the pictures where he is gathering the footy. Recruiters talk about clean gathers or clean trapping which Kozzy is elite at. A lot of prospects come through the system and place their hands too horizontally. Kozz gets his hands under the ball at all times. I remember hearing a story about Trac when he first came to the club. He has enormous hands. Massive. But he was lazy with his placement. They tweaked his approach and the rest is history. I love that we have Kozzy. So are my kids.
  4. He tried to play through the injury. Delayed surgery so he is a little behind other draftees.
  5. Never heard of him but one thing that sticks out aside from his size and athleticism is his inconsistent ball drop. In time and space it’s not too bad but he places his right in a slightly odd position. In saying that, he’s tall, will get bigger stronger and faster in an AFL program and can clearly find the footy. And positioning of hands on a footy is a relatively easy adjustment. That’s a pretty good pick in my books.
  6. Super nice kid. Especially for a former Xavier student! Wish him nothing but the best.
  7. Greeves doesn’t work well at clubs that have an enforced no DH policy.
  8. This is a good pick. Apparently ticks a lot of boxes for recruiters with his attitude, physical prowess and playing style. Get the gameplan working with quick ball movement and precise entries inside 50 and players like this kid become super important. Same goes for LSP.
  9. In the spirit of @rpfc just admiring my own brilliance. Thanks for reading my posts JT.
  10. Genuinely know very little about this years draft crop but we’ve really missed Pig since he retired. If we take Farrow, I’m hopeful that he can play a similar role. Hard working HB with a decent leg and intercept mark. Sign me up. Structurally we’ve missed a player in the back half who switch play aggressively and with distance. We also miss another small forward who can convert chances into goals.
  11. Mid year player development meetings are more about maintaining standards or small incremental changes that can be looked at. The idea is to not distract the player by overloading or giving too much negative feedback. End of season meetings are an ‘alL gloves are off’ type scenario where everything is in play as the players have time to take in the feedback, rest up, put into place a plan and execute.
  12. I believe the words, clear, actionable and honest were used a lot. I think it caught him off guard a little. Some felt he was a tad comfortable under the previous coach. Although I believe the feedback was coming even if Goody was still around. Like all players, he’s been told that nobody has a mortgage on a starting spot in RD 1. Hopefully the message has got through.
  13. Terrible ball drop, horrible preparation but very nice touch. Odd combo. Just from those highlights I wonder if his mobility is a concern. He is a project player and needs a lot of development. I’d rather we look at mids, small forwards and half backs.

Yeah I don’t see the comp with Salem at all. At least not when Salo was top of his game. I think there are other prospects who would help us more than Lindsay at 7&8.
  15. He should be watching James Sicily highlights. Needs to round out his game and become a switchable player. Elite kick.
  16. Yep. I think I need a break from footy.
  17. I’m older than I thought because I don’t get it.
  18. I was being facetious. Anywhoooo, onwards and upwards.
  19. The Trac people were very stressed…
  20. Looking forward to Langford changing jumper number to number 5 and receiving it from Brock McLean. We wanted him gone. King thought we could rescue it. Trac let him know that he was out out. Not mucking around. Every club knew. GC leveraged that. Apparently over the weekend it was at all time high levels of tension. Back on the subject of jumper numbers; some pretty famous numbers are now vacant: 5, 9, 13 & 14 If we draft some crazy, we should give him 14 in honour of Rod Grinter.
  21. Love Jennifer….. even when she’s saying ‘ ok good job’ in that manner. Not sure why you get so worked up by these updates. Real or not.
  22. Because we should be stealing some Blackhawks and rescuing BH from the Suns. Take him by force. Contract be damned. That’s what Collingwood would do… or Hawthorn.
  23. Maybe it’s double secret?
