  1. While I agree with your comments, it is detrimental to the health of the club to have a senior coach in charge that is ultimately gone. What good can come of that? We are treading water at the moment and time is running out. The board do need to get the right structures in place prior to moving on Neeld, McLardy, Craig etc… but it also needs to happen in the near future to enable this club to begin moving forward.
  2. So according to Caroline the AFL is considering/investigating the option of providing us with an increased salary cap funded by the AFL. There is of course a lot of water to go under the bridge but I find it rather surprising so many people on here are completely closed to the idea. I’m quite interested to see how this one plays out.
  3. Thanks for clearing that up....
  4. Would it be a fair assumption the meeting has been brought forward to enable a press conference to follow this afternoon?
  5. All that over 1 miserly pick….. I was hoping for 5 priority picks and a 2m promotional fund to splash on an A grade Mid. Too Much?
  6. Seriously….your clutching at straws. He is slow, always has been and when you couple that with a poor preseason he becomes ridiculously slow and unable to influence the contest. Everyone keeps referring back to his first few years as if he was a champion, as Bizkit pointed out, he by no means set the world on fire and I actually thought he was quite underwhelming.
  7. In the short term nothing will change Iva. This club needs to be rebuilt from the ground up and changing coaches tomorrow will achieve very little if the correct structures are not in place. There is no way Peter Jackson has had enough time to conduct a comprehensive review of our club allowing decisions to be made with any conviction.
  8. That’s a fair bit of resentment over one man WYL. I think you’re going to be disappointed when Mark is gone and nothing has changed
  9. Inconsistent yes but atrocious is a bit rich. He is our best player but let’s just allow him to walk out the door. Maybe we could package him up with Chip and Watts as well. You think 5 years is a long time, try 8.
  10. If you are referring to the first quarter, then i agree.
  11. We were at rock bottom before our current coach arrived, we just didn’t fully realise it. No point sacking the coach at this point, let the interim CEO complete his review and then make educated decisions from there.

    Mark Webber

This crap has won the past three world championships so it would have been very hard for Webber to turn his back on Redbull. One of those championships should have been his but for a couple of mistakes that were entirely his fault. So he has had chances but the facts are Vettel is quicker, European and wins championships. I love Mark but the time has come to move on I believe. What’s to say anything would be different at Ferrari behind Alonso other than the fact they are friends.
  13. I would much prefer to see the likes of Gawn, Blease, Kent and Strauss continue building form in the VFL than to rush them into the senior team on the back of 1 or 2 good performances. Let the current lot have a crack at GWS and continue to build on the first half performance against WC
  14. Sounds like you have been eating too much cake NA, we may have attacked under Bailey but we sure as hell didn’t defend. Unfortunately Bailey’s legacy lives on.
  15. What do you mean the wrong people? You don’t know Chris, nor do you know Ben. You have made assumptions based on media beat ups, the same media you just criticised for making the so called cokeumentary. Chris may have had his issues but he is not a criminal. We do know he was a sensational footballer and in that respect a great mentor. Not everyone lives a squeaky clean life but this in know way means they should be avoided. I thought the doco was good but as P-man said earlier it would have been good to see the lows. We sore a lot of Ben high and the bathroom scene was confronting but nothing of Ben two or three days after coming down. Hopefully tonight that side may be further explored.
  16. Does it have to be Judd and Ablett or can it be Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson because if its the latter I cant decide. These are my halcyon days after all!

    Plan B

I can see what your saying and your right in the fact that small tactical changes don't indicate different game plans. There are times though when plan A is not going to work and alterations are needed. Call it what you like, plan A.1 or plan B. Changes will be made and as we become more competant we will be able to implement greater changes

    Plan B

Don't agree with that at all. Every club if in the right position needs a plan B. We are not in that position as it has been pointed out. Take Essendon for instance, plan A is all out attack and its clear they don't have a plan B but desperately need one. When we perfect plan A we are going to need a B,C and D but until then things need to be less complicated
  19. Beer drinking competition followed by 5mins each way would sort it out.
  20. That puts a smile back on my face. Thanks
  21. Over all I thought Jetta was very good, kicked a good crumbing goal, provided some toughness and apart from a few late turn overs used the ball really well Miller didn't provide any strength. His attempt at marking the ball in the third term when he had the sit was utter rubbish. And to say Watts is a liability is a disgrace. Yes he got lost a few times but try looking at his lead up work especially during the third term. His over head marking on hard leads was first rate and his kicking was superb.
  22. Blease has been stuck on 2 weeks for a number of weeks now. Worrying signs that he just cant get it right. Fingers crossed he gets a good run during the second half of the year.
  23. The only thing he should take off his facebook, is you.
