  1. Really? Which past experience? A win for everyone is Humphrey for Trac and Trac for Humphrey.
  2. We just need Bailey Smith to come out and talk about his Cotton On deal and farm deal. He doesn't seem the brightest spark, so fingers crossed.
  3. He's been a lickhead from the word go. Arrogant as duck.
  4. I just saw a ZeroHanger headline saying they have a massive fine and went on there to find it's less than 100k and has no draft or trade sanctions. Pathetic. But we knew that would happen.
  5. The leak has just about been plugged...
  6. It's happening, baby.
  7. Gold Coast supporters?
  8. Dazzler will be most unhappy at the potential of Humphrey B Bear. Much more fun to laugh at the expense of Demonland posters melting. 😂
  9. Well, Rogers is a quicker Spargo. Creative by hand and foot, and elite on either side of his body. Makes sense.
  10. Depends what we get back / how much they pay of Clarry's salary.
  11. I'd be staggered if they played Rivers there. Humphrey or no Humphrey, Rivers has to be in that midfield mix next year. That said, he does offer great drove from half back and King wants to play a back half transition game... I think Harry Oliver would suit that to a tee with his kicking.
  12. I'd be going with 3, because you're also waxing between half back, wing and half forward. Harry Oliver also allows you to release Rivers and/or Lindsay into the midfield rotation proper, with Salem back there. I think Rivers' best position is half back too, but now we're definitely going to find out if he has mid potential.
  13. Harry Oliver, please. One Oliver in, another out.
  14. Definitely feel sorry for Max. He's stuck his neck out there for Clarry for years and it's arguably all been for nought.
  15. No. You play the role the coach and club wants you to play. He's a Melbourne immortal. He helped deliver our first flag in 57 years and won the BnF and AFLCA award in a premiership year. A freak footballer. But if you can't show leadership at almost 30 and your toxicity overflows onto those around you, it's time to go, despite whatever you've achieved.
  16. I find it very disappointing. My favourite Demon. But he's now out of the favourite players list on Demonland, and I've had a year to prime myself for this. It's happening and we move on.
  17. Come on mate. I have ADHD. I'm not trouncing around like a nuffy. (Well, maybe Dazzle thinks I am)
  18. I just showed this to wifey, a recent MFC convert for those following at home. She said: "You little b astard. We're taking you off the fridge!"
  19. Because they need to give something up for Trac. We'd have preferred to keep Trac, but since he wanted to explore options we've gone for the guy we've loved since his draft year and tried to nab on draft night. The assurances would have been based off all the capital they have. Draft picks and players. My feeling on the Suns is they don't want to be seen to be giving up potential superstars easily, so a game of posturing plays out before they ultimately accept Trac for Humphrey.
  20. You don't nominate a club unless that club has given you various assurances that a trade can and will be done. Remember, we've been pretty clear all the way along here that if Trac wants to go, it's up to his management to find a deal that satisfies Melbourne. That would be two pronged: 1) that whichever club Trac nominates will pick up his entire salary and 2) that the club has something valuable it can give to satisfy Melbourne. A handy small forward who's played 18 games in two years (Rogers) and wants to leave because he can't crack into their best 22 permanently and a first rounder is not going to do it. And the Suns are unlikely to go into a huge points deficit to match bids on their academy players because they've traded picks 6 and 7 for Trac. This leaves the Suns in a position where they hope to get a deal done for Trac with mere picks, but simply can't. We're not interested in this draft. They need to come up with an appropriate trade. That trade is Humphrey, a Victorian boy is who out the door in 3 years anyway, and already meeting with Victorian clubs. We are the only Victorian club that has the capital to get the deal done, and with Trac (and likely Clarry going) we have ample salary cap to splash here. I am increasingly confident that Humphrey will be a Melbourne player and have solace that Trac will be otherwise. Win, win.
  21. Sitting back and hoping we don't land Humphrey so you can watch some fans on a forum melt is pretty funny.
  22. And we say, back you come, Trac, and the Suns' look horrible to market. King wants to coach Trac remember. And the Suns need a marketable asset up there. Trac would be their first landing since Ablett. If they don't get the deal done, what's that say to the next opposition player they're courting in a trade? That player would have every right to ask, if I nominate you as my trade destination, will you actually get the deal done? The league doesn't work in a vacuum and all these managers talk. The Suns would be a laughing stock. Melbourne needs to hold their nerve and keep pushing Humphrey to request a trade.
  23. But Suns don't get Trac.
  24. It's about who can get the deal done. Hawthorn aren't in the conversation.
  25. Yep, agreed, that's what I meant about being the main man in there
