  1. I think we'd love 3 highly fancied mids with slightly different strengths (leg speed, explosion from stoppage and an ability to hit the scoreboard) to add to McVee, Rivers and Kolt, who are all very modern day players. The stronger we make our midfield, the better we will be as a team.
  2. Come on down, Riak Andrew? And thanks for your service, Adam.
  3. The reason I'm fence sitting is it's foolish without all the facts to write off players, and as you rightly point out, some players like McVee and co take time. Countless others. Max, Nev Jetta are others I got wrong, at least I couldn't see them as the players they became. The other variable is talls take longer. But the foolish, knee jerk side of me would say he won't be good enough for AFL level. Let's see what he looks like at the level next year though. Jefferson is a strange enough one to hitch your wagon too. Blind Freddy could tell Oliver was going to be a star from his very first game, so being a Clarry Choo Choo subscriber doesn't hold much water.
  4. It's why I'll be very happy if we can land Langford and Hynes. Both dangerous forward of centre.
  5. I had to google him. Don't remember him as a player.
  6. Nope. We are backing in JVR, Petty, Turner. I'm also hoping we go with the two tall forwards and then the hybrids around them.
  7. Yep, or even Hynes and Hotton on top of that top 5 pick. Midfield hopefully sorted for the next decade.
  8. I'd do the first bit and leave it at that mate haha.
  9. Mate, no matter what you say, there'll still be a conga line of cranky Eyores lining up to take a shot at TL.
  10. I'm not sold on Jefferson and I'm not writing him off entirely either. Just thought it was funny given how picket ****cans certain players and then hitches his wagon to some other strange choices.
  11. I count 5 A Rookies, with Hore unsigned.
  12. It's called salary cap room and desperation. 😉
  13. But... but picket said...
  14. This idea that you are a better fan because you unquestioningly support the board or admin or the culture of the club is rubbish and it's tedious.
  15. I'd be staggered if we didn't jump on that. That would be a dream. I'd take 15 and 16 for 9 without WD. He would be the icing on the cake. It'd mean cutting Hore and possibly Tomlinson.
  16. I'd have Smith and Draper ahead of Langford for what they can do out of stoppage with leg speed, but Langford's disposal makes up for his leg speed I reckon.
  17. If we split 9 into 2 mid to late first rounders, I'd love Hotton and Hynes. 🙏
  18. I thought he played wing most of the second half of the year and started rhe year at half forward? I could be misremebering, but that's my memory of a season to forget.
  19. On ya, Dingo. The industry has used the term quarterback for quite a while now...
  20. That's not what I meant. The MFC does not value the MCC relationship highly enough IMO. MCC are a major backer and source of (potential co) finance. That is a relationship to be nurtured and strengthened. Perhaps, Steven Smith can help with that down the line...
  21. I'd love to try Caleb at half back too. In a quarterback role.
  22. I'm the same. I'm a MFC/MCC member and treat my dual membership as a donation to the club. Some of our commercial team don't value it, is what I was getting at.
  23. Not sure on the size of the grant, but the grants come from the MCC Foundation and are rolled over each year. I've posted this before but we could be valuing the MCC relationship more than we do.
  24. Thanks mate. Really excited about what this means for Windsor.
