2024 Player Reviews: #38 Oliver Sestan
Adam The God replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I do. Keep them hungry. -
As others have said, never heard anything but complimentary words said about Mahoney. That's not to say that FTB is wrong, but I trust PJ. I'd argue the best administrator we've ever had. Maybe FTB heard it from sources that Mahoney held to account? We certainly don't have that sort of discipline anymore within our FD.

Welcome to Demonland: Ricky Mentha
Adam The God replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Trade, Draft & Free Agency
We all have different bodies aka we all have different opinions. -
How do you know Pert's appointment was massaged by the AFL? That's not my understanding.

Welcome to Demonland: Ricky Mentha

What a whack take, OD, but we all have different bodies. -

It is always a good idea to wait until the end of list lodgement on this stuff before making full assessments on pick trades. On face value I'd prefer we go after pick 9, but who knows, perhaps Essendon have already said you won't have enough to get pick 9. Therefore, we've gone hard at the next best option. I'd like us to use both first rounders (if we can land it) on draftees, but I wonder if we're think 13 for Houston... I wouldn't be entirely against it if we got a top 5 prospect on top. At least you know what you're getting with Houston.

It also gives us potential to try Windsor in other roles like half back with some midfield bursts.
-
I wonder if this means Windsor moves to half back and mid rotation. Very interesting move.

This is where our 2024 ladder position and question marks over Clarry, Trac and Koz help us. Some clubs would definitely think about death riding us.

You need the operators that can calm the waters. He did that, and snuffed out any potential news story.

Thought Lamb was brilliant today. Answered everything superbly given the continued line of questioning. He didn't give them anything. Perfectly dealt with.

Agreed. Not sure what DS is smoking, but each to their own. Jagga for number pick 1 for me. Contest, speed, agility, good ball use. Gonna be a star IMHO.

What did he say? I presume the FD wants him, not necessarily the admin.

I support Goodwin...

Fair enough, I just think we also invested a first round pick in Jefferson. Derksen was a mid season draft pick. Anyway, onward.
-
Maybe Perty can approach some other clubs and see if anyone's willing for a Goody trade.
-
Jefferson wasn't anywhere near the required standard until about half way through this VFL season though. He started in the back pocket such were his struggles...
-
Maybe if you spoke to him, he'd fill you in. It's then up to your own judgement from there.
-
Well done for putting one good VFL season together, Matthew, you'll be in our plans next season if you continue to improve. Just look at the apprenticeship JVR had before coming in and getting games as well.

MFC 2024 BEST & FAIREST NIGHT
Adam The God replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
He banged on about the 23rd man all last year. He loves it. -
So does anyone know if we've shown any interest in Parfitt?

Fancy getting Trac's name wrong. The quicker Green is out, the better. As for the BnF, I suppose Pert got up and spoke. What was the reception for him? Can't imagine it was warm...
