Let's consider a few things here. West Coast is a club that adored Chris Judd. He's said publically how much he will miss certain players, and how often do you hear a parting player say 5-6 players names he will miss when they are leaving a club? It's normal 1 or 2.
Also, he was god in Perth. Literally god. I'm sure he knows how much this has affected the people of Perth, the WC fans and the WC as a club.
Now, let's take into consideration all of this. Is Judd really going to choose a club that has nothing the Eagles need or want in return? While I know the decision is up to Judd, I believe he will liason with the Eagles and determine which club has the necessary players and picks to fulfil a trade that would make-up for their loss of Judd. I've thought about this over the last couple of hours and now I can see how Carlton may actually be a better suitor than Collingwood.
Let's face it, WC are going to want either 2 top 10 picks, 1 top 10 pick and a high-calibre player or a top 10, top 20 and perhaps 2 young up-and-comers. Either way, they are going to want a top 10 draft pick out of this.
I don't think he is going to pick Collingwood based on what they can offer in the draft. I also don't think he will choose them and hope they can trade up in the draft. To be honest, Collingwood look to lose more than any other club if they want to obtain Judd. If he does choose them, he is practically screwing over the Eagles because I can't see the pies trading two-three high calibre players such as Didak, Davis and Cloke or Peddlebree straight up which is what the Eagles will want if the Pies can't get their hands on a top 10.
