Believe me, the whole way through I was very impressed with our youngsters. I am very hopeful in that sense. I only pointed out Green because his game was no different than what it has been over the past 1 and a bit seasons. He's an overrated hack. Like Bruce. You build a club around those two softys who look good with their skills and you end up being a team that can't finish a season off and that crumbles under pressure. Melbourne failed to do so in 04, 05 and 06.

Another thing on the bright side: Yet another game were Green proves how much of a hack he is. Should have traded him 2 years ago. How is this bright? We're a game closer to this overrated player getting traded.

Darwin would be a more logical choice because it would only need a crowd of 5,000-10,000 people to post a profit. They'd get between 10k-20k each game. West Sydney I think is a stupid move. I don't think Sydney is AFL hungry enough to sport a second team. The GC is feasible as it's a booming city and with the support of the sharks, could become a powerhouse of Adelaide-esque proportions.

Well, this looks like a 100 point loss. Anyway, can someone answer these 2 questions for me: 1. Why did the AFL schedule this game in Geelong and not a regional area like far north queensland, gold coast, NZ, tassie or elsewhere where the AFL is pushing? 2. Why did Melbourne see the need to wear a clash jumper that clashes more with the Geelong jumper than the non-clashing, traditional jumper would?

How anyone could want Bruce or Green to be our captains a head of Rivers, McLean and even Davey is beyond me. Skills doesn't necessarily mean captaincy. Bruce is a "give it to me" player and Green has been disappointing this year. Neither, imo, have ever shown the capabilities of being a captain. They don't have enough influence.

I don't expect to be either. We'll be better than Geelong was in 07 in 2010. Mark my words.

I'm sorry, but if Adam Yze and Brad Green are our standouts for 2008, then we'll probably be having a terrible year. Our standouts should include McLean, Rivers, Jones and Davey, not 2 overhyped, overrated utilities that should have been traded years ago.

I think that, considering we've been one of the most successul clubs over the past decade, those numbers are disappointing. Carlton has been a laughing stock for 5 seasons and are above us, as has Richmond.

I expect us to be last on the membership ladder this year. Roos will get the extra support after an emotional last few weeks.

To even say Colin's attitude is the same as TJ's is laughable imo. TJ never looked like he wanted to be there, even when he was playing well. He is a natural talent. Colin is a different player and has a more prestigious look about him. He will step up under a new coach and new environment, which is what I think the Melbournefc will be this year.

He is up for grabs because he is an underachieving, gambling, drinking lazy bumb who could have been better than Judd but never cared. He is the typical player that plays for the pay cheque. We see his attitude on the field, but clearly the club sees it off field as well and that was the final straw. 3 years too late imo.

I like Budweiser Anyhoo, if he can learn to kick beyond 40 metres, then yeah, he might have a decent year, at best.
